Really gross and yucky but I love the grandkids..
We had a Christmas bbq at work yesterday and not as many people turned up as expected so there was a lot of food left. Being one who hates wasted food, I jumped in the car and went and picked up two of the grandkids so they could have a nice lunch. I had eaten two little cubes of cheese, one mini chicken drumstick and a 3" celery stick before I left. When we got back everyone had finished eating so I sat down with them and had a hamburger without the bun just so they weren't eating on their own (well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it). Off we went home.....
I was driving along and thought .. .omg nooooooooo. I could feel it coming back up and there was absolutely nowhere to stop sooooooooooo I did this huge, wonderful PB all over the steering wheel. (for non lap banders, a PB is a productive burp.. basically its like a huge, gooey blob of gelatine..vomit without stomach contents) My 7 year old grandson, (sitting in the front next to me) looked at me and said... Did you eat too much Shanny? There is goo dripping off the steering wheel and forming a puddle on my legs. My 5 year old grand daughter reaches into the back of the car and grabs a t-shirt she could see and passes it over to me. I am still driving as there was still nowhere safe to stop.
The best thing is when I got to my daughter's house I borrowed a pair of her trousers... I had my second fill last week and I think it kicked in! I now have 2.3cc in my 4cc band. My dr. said it was up to me if I wanted another fill as I could just keep going on my own if I wanted. I only have 6.5lbs to go to his initial acceptable goal weight..I have 20lbs to mine lol.
Moral of the story? Kids are great and understand and deal with a lot more than we give them credit for and .. if you don't need a fill, don't get one!
Have a merry Christmas everyone and a safe, happy and healthy New Year.
