I havent lost any weight since Oct 22. What can I do. I am getting 80 to 100 proteins a day. 60 to 70 oz of water. I had slacked off on excerising but last monday I started that back up so 8 days back at that. I eat around 500 - 800 calories a day. HELP ME, what is going on. I have gained 2 pounds back also. Is this it ? is this all I am going to lose. Has any one else stalled this long Its not like I am a light weight . I started at 319, lost down to 240, so that is not it. Any body got any ideals

I read a post a little farther down and several people are stalling around their 5th month. I for one have been fluctating within 4 lbs since mid October as well. I have been stuck between 211-214 for over a month! I went to the gym tonight hoping this would jumpstart my weight loss again. From what I understand though, this is very common and we will get past our plateau. Good job on the protein....wow! That's awesome! And congrats on 240... that's amazing!!!!

Hey Amy, First of all you should be proud of how much weight you've already lost. Second, there were a few weeks were the scale didn't move. I go to my nutritionist every week and she realized that I wasn't getting more than 600 calories a day. She said that she had another patient who was also eating less than 600 calories a day and not losing weight. Since then she told me to make sure that I eat at least 600 calories a day and to remember that includes the amount I lose when i work out. When the body isn't getting enough calories in, it can store everything it has. Since then, except for one week , I've been losing. I also continue to count & record my food/calories along with my protein. -Elana

Amy, i had slowed down also on losing. i increaded my protein by an additional shake a day, and things have started moving again. that puts me at about 100g a day. teri

Amy. If you can get it in try upping your calories to at least 1,000. In combination with the exercise it might jump start you.

Amy honey, I was going to say the same thing that Daniel did, up your calories. You body is burning more and so it is going into the not-so-good starvation mode. It is going to hold onto everything because you aren't getting enough in. I stall when I don't get enough calories. But, I have found on the days that I think, ugh, I ate too much, the next day or so, I will have lost a pound or 2!! Try upping the calories and see how you do. Jeanna

I'm going to jump in on the up your calories band wagon! And keep it up with the exercise. Adding weight lifting if you haven't yet will help out a lot. And make sure you are taking your measurements regularly! A lot of time the inches are going when the pounds aren't. Good Luck! Carolyn

My NUT reccomends 800-100 calories for this far out so you may want to check with yours about that. My NUT never said anything about counting carbs and it was brought up in a support group that we should be at 60g max a day - I was WAY over that. Last month I lost only 1lb after the scale went up and down up and down all month. This past week I cut my carbs back to 30g, upped my protein and went to the gym faithfully and it moved 5lbs! Thats my best week ever. As stated early I would call you NUT and see if they can offer you some advice... do you get a 6 mo f/u with yours?? I see mine in a few weeks. Good luck!

I agree - up the calories and cut back on carbs. For the past month or two, I've been eating 800-1100 calories pretty much every day and I'm still losing. I will go up and down on 4 pounds, and then drop them and start on the next 4. Definitely slowing down. Great job on the exercising!
