After my last fill, Monday Nov 20, I have barely been able to keep anything down, even protein shakes bother me, and last night I tried a couple of bites of a pickle, it stayed down but I think it might have gotten stuck (is this possible) as I was up all night sick, am still sick, and can't even keep water down. Has this happened to anyone, and will it pass or do I need to see my doc?

Hi Melinda, Sorry to hear you are feeling unwell. I don't have much I can suggest. I haven't seen too many posts on our June board about lapband or fills. I think most of the regular posters here have had gastric bypass--any words of wisdom from the other lurkers out there? Have you tried posting your question on the lapband board? I would definitely agree if your intuition tells you to contact your doctor. All the best, Lori

Melinda, if you can't keep water down you need to see your dr. Sometimes you can be overfilled and just a little out will relieve things. Sometimes fills can kick in a few days or even a week later. You need to go back to fluids for a day then mushies for two days after a fill. But your dr will have specific instructions regarding this. Yes, things can get stuck. You have to chew, chew, chew, chew! And eat very slowly. If something does feel 'stuck' do the chicken walk... walk and flap your arms around. But do follow the advice of posting on the lapband forum... lots of experience with this there. Sharyn.
