I just cannot believe that Thanksgiving is already tomorrow. I am actually so excited to see all my family. This is one of my favorite holidays add Christmas and the 4th of July and we are set. I am lucky, my DH took off a couple extra days this week and we have been bumming around, working out together, shopping, blah, blah, blah...it is almost like we were retired. I can't wait for that to happen. Only 12 more years according to the master plan. Ok, so, today's questions are going to revolve a bit around the holiday, but it wouldn't be fun if it didn't would it? So here we go: 1) What are you thankful for this year? 2) Are you going to go shopping on Black Friday? 3) What traditions does your family have on Thanksgiving? 4) Are you planning on exercising tomorrow? 5) What is the one thing, food wise, that you are going to miss most tomorrow? (maybe if we talk about it, we can leave those cravings here????? Just a thought) Ok, my answers: 1) There is a lot that I am thankful for, but truly, for the gift of this surgery. I am sure you can all relate, but, I have grown so much in 5 months I can't even believe it. I am so much more confident than I was before. I am stepping out of my comfort zone everday and learning that I am special and that I do deserve all these great things and more. I am also thankful for my family. This has been a very tough year, we lost my father, I had surgery, I lost my job, a very good friend of mine is moving to CA....hopefully nothing else. My family has been there sticking by me and supporting me though all of this. I am so thankful for my family and my husbands' family. As cooky as they maybe, they are awesome!!!! 2) I usually do, but, this year, I don't think that I am going to. Money is a touch tight and we would like to pay off some bills sooner than later. My shopping will probably be from the computer this year for most of it. 3) My favorite tradition is, after everything has been eaten, all the dishes are done, the leftovers put away, we all sit down and sing Christmas carols. Ok, doesn't sound like that much fun, but, it is wild and crazy time. My uncle is the conductor and he has a little kids' keyboard that he gets the starting note from and we hand out kids' percussion instruments and whistles, and well you get the point. It is the moist fun and I have the best memories from that. We have laughed so hard and it is sort of an initiation into the family through this. Some year I am going to tape it so I can listen to it when I am down. 4) I am!!!! Actually, I have another 5k run/Walk to do tomorrow morning. It is going to be so much fun. I did my first 5k since surgery on Sunday and did a really great job. I didn't accomplish my goal with it, I wanted to run at least 1/2 of it, but let me tell you, running on a treadmill and running on a hard surface into the wind a 2 totally different things. YIKES!!! I think we will also go for a walk later in the afternoon when we get to my brothers'. That turkey won't get the best of me, ok, I think it would be everything else and not the turkey that would get to me. 5) 2 things, yams with brown sugar, butter and marshmallows and pecan pie. Ok, that is all I can say about that, other than my mouth is watering right now. Good thing I have other relatives that need sugar free items as well, usually there are some pretty good ones. I am making bread pudding as we speak, no, not for me. I hope that each and every one of you has one of the best Thanksgivings ever. Just enjoy and don't sweat the small stuff, don't let the food get you down, and don't, please don't forget each other. I am truly thankful to have each and everyone of you in my life, things just wouldn't be the same with out you. Happy Thanksgiving, Jeanna

First and formost, I am thankful for my husband, Norb, whom I could not live without. Then my children and grandchildren, my family, and finally this wonderful surgery that has helped me regain some of my personal freedoms. Black Friday:::NO, NO, NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Money is tight; and I'm crazy but not that crazy. Traditions: Wow, as a child we would sit around and play games after a big supper; but since mom has died, the family has left many of our traditions behind. We are lucky to even get together anymore. Exercise: I am having trouble with this as I have arthritis in both knees, hips, and my elbow. Exercise is very difficult. I will go for a walk or ride my stationary bike. Can only do a little bit. MISS THE MOST: I will probably miss the homemade fudge my brother makes. Everyone pigs out on it - and I might cheat and have a bite, but that would be all as it is mostly chocolate and sugar. It is a recipe that has been passed down for five generations and is excellent. I know how to make it, but never make the effort or expend the cost. Now I'm glad I don't as I would probably make myself sick. It is to die for. I am making a jello salad that is fabulous. 1 big box of sugar free jello, 16 oz. lowfat yogurt, frozen berries. Disolve the jello with about 1/2 the boiling water called for on the package. Then add the yogurt and blend together. Add the berries and set up in the refrig. I'll also make the relish tray, fruit punch, and macaronni salad. We'll go to my sisters. She's making the main meal. Love to all of my OH friends. Have a blessed Thanksgiving. Keep safe. lol
