Prayers Please!! Will be away for awhile
Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to drop a quick post to let you all know that I will be MIA for awhile. We got almost 5 inches of rain and my basement is flooded AGAIN!! this time worse than last. The last flood after we got all cleaned up we put pallets down and put our things on the pallets well the water came up over the pallets, my oil burner,my washer and dryer and up to the 4th step coming upstairs,The rain was so heavy that it actually forced through the foundation of the house and I had water POURING in through the walls.
What a mess!We are waiting as many in our area are for someone to come and pump the water out.It is so frustrating because there is nothing we can do until then.
I am so sick over this, all I have done for the last couple hours is cry my eyes out! you can't even imagine how bad it is!! no drama with this one!
Please if you have a moment say a quick prayer for us to get through again.Rick goes back to work tomorrow and can't get a couple days off to help,so Samantha and I are on our own for the mess.So needless to say it is going to take a LONG time to get cleaned up and dried out and cleaned.
**********On a lighter note,if I don't get back before the holiday,I want to wish you all and your families many blessings for a very Happy Thanksgiving.
Much love to all of you!
Nancy
Nancy hon, you and your family are definitely in our prayers and thoughts. I can only begin to imagine how this all is and that won't even do it justice. Please continue to be strong.
I am just amazed that you remember to wish us all a Happy Thanksgiving when you are taking care of things like this.
I am so thankful to have you and then rest of my June family in my life.
Take care and I am sending you my love back,
Jeanna
Nancy I just read this! OMG! I've never experienced a flood and I think I would just die if I ever did! You are a brave soul....can you move someday to higher ground? My prayers and love are sent your way. I will pray pray pray for you and your family. What a mess you must have to clean up after. Hopefully, not too much was ruined. If I was there I'd come and help you! Keep us posted and please try to have a restful Thanksgiving and stay dry as much as possible!
