Saturday Roll Call

Well, it's Monday but I was gone all weekend, so... 1. If you had one wish, what would you wish for? Okay, I'll say it - $10 million dollars! 2. What is your nickname(s) and how'd you get them? no nicknames 3. What is one embarassing moment you've recently encountered? Oh, geese, I have so many. The one that comes to mind is a year ago we were in VA visiting a childhood friend of dh - whom I have met once previously. I was walking out of their door and they had this deck thing built in the garage that stepped off about 12 inches. The garage was dark and I forgot about the drop-off so I just felt splat right in front of the whole group - all 286 pounds of me. I was so embarassed. 4. How many children do you have? Two teen agers - 14 and 16 5. Is there a significant other? yes, married 22 years.

Like Karen, its Monday and I was gone all weekend. 1. If you had one wish, what would you wish for? I do wish for world peace and all that, but on a more pragmatic and selfish level, I live on a lake and am green with envy when I see others with ski boats go by. I really, really, really wish I was better at saving money, so I could get a boat for our family to enjoy. 2. What is your nickname(s) and how'd you get them? As a teen, my deliriously skinny aunt used to call me Gigi for garbage guts. I wasn't even more than 10 pounds overweight then. My brother (BoBo) calls me Lolli, not sure how that goofiness started. I don't really have any nicknames other than that. 3. What is one embarassing moment you've recently encountered? That would be the time in karate when we were playing some kind of chasing game. There were only two of us running, and my saggy gut was making slapping sounds. This class is full of teenagers, and three women my age (who don't have slappy skin), I just wanted to drop to the floor and crawl into the corner. 4. How many children do you have? I have an 18 year old stepson, Andrew. Sadly our relationship has soured in the last few years. He is training to be a chef--how come I still do all the cooking? I have a 7 year old, Connor, who wants to be president of the United States lol (Canada is not big enough for him), or commander of some multinational peacekeeping force, and an scientist/inventor. 5. Is there a significant other? Yes, Lynn. We have been together for about 13 years.
