Hello to my extended family! Today I was thinking about when we all came here to the June board, yes we lost a ton of original posters that I wish would come back and let us know how they are! but we have also gained a lot of new people and continue to do so,which is totally awesome! I remember before our Journeys began how we all were,so discusted with ourselves and how much we could not wait for our Big day to arrive,it is now around the 4- 5 month mark (depending on date) since our surgery and I am totally blown away at the progress we have all made! Not only physically but mentally! even though this journey is everything but easy,I can see such a huge differnce in us all,and everyone is working so hard to acheive their goals! We are all working on our healthy bodies making the correct food decisions, excercise, taking our supplements. We are what we all dreamed of being! who would have ever thought we would be this far and this happy at 4-5 months out? I can't wait to see us on our anniversary dates! With everything being said,I want to say congratulations to each and every one of you for your accomplishments so far, I am so proud of all of you,you all look fabulous! and I am so happy to see everyone being happy. and I do want to thank all of you for your continued support in helping me though my journey as well. Much love to all of you! Nancy 296-150-185

Thank you Nancy.... You and a few others have been here posting regardless, and some of us (me included) lurkers have decided to come back and post... I wanted to know, I've read where other "surgery date months" have gotten together a year later, anyway....what do yall think about getting a get together in june 07? Maybe a central area, middle of the month, etc.... Thought I'd put that out there... and Nancy, you've done amazing yourself....all you've been thru...keep up the good work girl! G

Thank you Nancy, Thank you for being so supportive to us as well. We have all lost weight and through it all we have been here to listen and support each other. Awaiting, I think that was your name that said we should all get together at some place in 2007 I think that is a wonderful idea too. We could meet and "see" who we have been chatting with and maybe take heavy pictures with us while waring our new bodies we will have by next year. Hugss to you all from me Amy

I agree, a one year reunion sounds wonderful. And Nancy, Thank you so much for all of your encouragement and constant updates. You are such a wonderful friend. I needed your kind words. This has been an awful day...my husband went into our gun cabinet to get ready for hunting season. We had just sold our trailer house and put the $4000. in the steel, locked gun cabinet until we could get it to the bank. We went to get the money to deposit it and found it missing. Only hubby and I have keys to the gun cabinet. When I went to find my keys, my whole set was gone...home keys, extra vehicle keys, and the gun keys. I don't know what happened to them...but whoever took them, probably took the money. We are now $4000. short and have no idea how we are going to pay our bills. I've already paid all the back taxes on it, paid the repairs from our last renters, and also paid for all of our car licence. I don't know what we are going to do. And I don't think it would help to call the police. I am just about at my wits end. Just pray please. Thanks.

Nancy, Thanks for the inspiration. You made me stop and realize just how much I've come in under 5 months. Not only did I loose my first 100+ pounds, my attitude and outlook on life is changing by the day. I am slowly coming out of my shell (per say) and this has made my wife much happier b/c I've been much more fun to hang around with lately. LOL. We are doing things now instead of me being a hermit... Now for the great NEWS which goes a bit beyond the "life Style change" We just found out Wednesday we are going to have our first child... Yes, she is pregnant. I'm still trying to swallow this and I have to admit I'm crossed between happy, nervous and most of all scared to death. I've been with her for 7 years married 5 of those years back in October of this year and all she's ever wanted was a child. I'm blaming this on the recent weight loss and GYM activity which has made me so much better in the sex area... LOL sorry for being so blunt, but it's the truth. Anyway I wanted to share this with my OH family and especially the June 06 buddies. I too, am proud on how well everyone is succeeding in our new life, everyone lets keep up the good work. It definitely pays off. Thanks Frank

Frank that is so wonderful. It is totally normal to be scared. My dh had never held a baby in his life until our ds was born. But he did great and you will too. MichiGirl

That's awesome Frank. Imagine all the things you will be able to do with your child that you wouldn't have been able to do prior to surgery. I don't have any kids, but I do have many nephews and nieces that I've helped raise and am very close to. We do so much together now. I am planning their graduation fishing trips and trips to magic mountain and disneyland. When we play catch, I don't sit on a chair and have them throw me the ball. I actually run around with them. The other day, one of my younger nephews touched my belly and told me, "you're getting so skinny." I smiled at him, walked outside and silently let the tears flow. Congratulations Frank. Here's to you and yours building memories. Ben

Congratulations Frank!! I'm so happy for you and your wife!! Take all the credit/blame you want. My husband still like to take credit for the fact that we have twins (the fertility drugs had NOTHING to do with it), he thinks his manliness somehow caused it! Carolyn
