This is why Your Weight loss slowed?
Hi Everyone!
I just read Rebecca's progress post and I read the responses to many with slowing weight loss.I had answered this in a post awhile ago and I just went back and copied and pasted it here for everyone to read, some may have read this and I apologize but for the people who didn't see it I feel it may help them a bit.
At my visit with my nut on October 27th she explained the slowing up process in detail and makes soooo much sense ,I didn't even think about this.
I apologize if you already figured it out,but if your like me and clueless it can help make sense!
I am rounding the numbers off...
Before surgery they figured my calorie intake to be around 3,500 to 4,000 (OMG how pathetic!) now rounding the numbers off...dropping from that number to the 300 to 500 (honeymood period) for a few months no wonder the weight flew off!lol...now my caloric value should be (to maintain) around 1,700 to 1,800 and I am now eating 700 to 1,000 calories a day now, that is so much drastically lower so that explains why the weight slows up as you loose so much weight and will get harder and harder as I go along. As you loose weight your caloric value always changes.
She said that is why people at the end that only need to loose 10-20 pounds struggle so hard to get it off.
Excercise is another biggie to! excercise burns calories,
I don't need to go into that it, is pretty self explanitory.
Honestly, I don't know about you but I really am happy with everything overall and I feel so blessed that I am where I am now,I have just decided to take it one day at a time for here on in and just let the weight come off as it will and stop my obsessing and worrying about it.It is like Psychological warefare on myself and I finally said to myself enough is enough!
Just let it happen!
Hope this sheds some light on things!!
((hugs))

Hey Nanc-
You had posted this for me!! Just to let everyone know... My numbers are finally going down after a 5 week stall. I spoke with the nut and she gave me a pep talk. She actually recommended 3 protein shakes and 2 snacks and 2 small meals. This total should be 1000-1200 cal. Water and exercise of course. This change helped the scale move once again. Don't give up the fight!
Regards, Romey
