OT: Did you go vote?
Hi everyone!
Just a quick reminder that today is Election Day! NOT that you would need a reminder with all the TV ads,newspapers...etc....
The political junkie that I am was at the polls first thing this morning!!
a *****illy but worth it!
Now did you vote today? remember we the people are the ones who decides how our country is going to be run in the future! if you don't vote, don't complain about the way things are! make a differnce...........GO VOTE!!!!
Nancy
Ps.
My name is Nancy and I approve this post!
ROFLMAO!!! sorry I JUST HAD TO!!!
man I am gonna get egged for that one huh?
I did. I almost didnt but a friend of mine told me the same thing. Don't complain if Propositions get passed that you don't like. I was so tired of all the political bashing commercials and signs every where. i just ignored them but yesterday I really sat down and did some research and I feel good about my Votes. I am proudly wearing my "I Voted Today" Sticker
I haven't missed an election since I registered to vote when I was eighteen years old.....many years ago..I, too, am a political junkie....can't get enough of it....And about those negative ads...They are designed to make you so annoyed and disgusted that those who are sitting on the fence will just give up and stay home....The number crunchers have calculated that only those with strong opinions will take the time out to cast their ballot. It is unfortunate that the hopes and dreams of our country are mired in the muck of complacency.

I spent the whole day at the campaign office of a governor hopeful. We realize that he probably won't make it...but he is a wonderful man who has so much to give. Nancy, I agree, if one doesn't vote...Then one has NO REASON WHATSOEVER to complain about the issues or the people who are our leaders. We had many, many issues addressed this year, so we've probably had one of the highest turnouts that we've seen in a long time. Many of our amendments/inititives are running very close. Well, I've got school tomorrow...couldn't take to days off. We are on our way to the quarries for a field trip tomorrow...68 first graders in a rock pile..oh lucky me.
Nancy you nut!!!!!
DH and I went to vote after work last night. We went to our usual place at the Jr high. Well that was not the right place. We ended up at the Ford dealership that is on the other side of the freeway from us. Not sure why so far away. But at least we found it. I was bad and ate some fresh mini donuts that they were giving away at the Jr. high voting place. They were warm and yummy. I have lost the 2lbs I gained over the weekend so it must have been water weight.
