How was your weekend?

Hi everyone- I am back from a girls weekend in Palm Springs. Boy was it totally not what I was expecting. I went with my sister and 3 of her friends. My sister told me we were going shopping at the outlet mall so I knew we would be shopping. What she didn't tell me was to not bother to bring a swimsuit or anything like that because we would not be doing anything like that. To me that is what PS is all about. Swimming. Oh well I still had a nice time. We spent 10 hours at the outlets on Saturday. That is not a typo. We got there at 10:15am and left at 8:15pm. There are over 150 stores there. I was so tired. But not as tired as I would have been 100lbs ago. My feet only hurt because of my shoes rubbing them, not because of all the weight. Guess what?????? I bought clothes at a non-plus size store. I bought a t-shirt at the Gap for $6.99. It was a XXL but not a plus-size 2X. I also bought a pair of size 18 Dockers at the Levis outlet for $15.99. At the Bass store I got 2 pairs of size 16 cord jeans for $19.99 each. I was so happy to buy regular sized clothes I gave the ladies a fashion show once we got back to the house. Everyone was so nice and cheering me on and saying good job and how good I looked. After the 10 hours of shopping we wanted dinner and the closest place was the Morongo casino. We ate at one of the places inside the casino. My eating for the weekend was pretty good except I ate too much candy. I gained 2lbs since Friday. It might be water weight though. I do not seem to be putting out my usual amount. You would think 10hrs of shopping would take care of things huh? I am glad to see more people posting on the June site. Thanks Ben for getting things started. MichiGirl

Hey, Ben. Have you ever been to Ensenada? That's where I had my surgery. We drove through Tijuana to get there. This may be a stupid question, but... we can drink??? I thought we weren't supposed to have alcohol for a year! I've been dying for a beer , but haven't dared more than a teeny sip of my husband's. I have no plans to make it a habit, but it would be nice to know it can be handled once in a while. TTYL. Traci

No, I can't drink. My doctor stated clearly, no drinking for the first six months. In this area, I am completely non-compliant and understand that there may be potential consequences to my actions. The only reasoning I have come up with is that I am so happy with my metamorphisis that I want to celebrate as much as I can. I am keeping track of my intake and will be upfront with my Doctor when I see him this Friday. I'll let you know what he says. Ben

We're all human, aren't we? It's like me with chocolate chip cookies. I can eat one without dumping, so I indulge a couple of times a week! Oh well! Traci

I really cannot remember this weekend. I know that I ate well, but did go to the movies with hubby and granddaughters on Saturday where I had a sip of soda pop and some of their popcorn. Not much, but a handful maybe. Otherwise, I really watched it. The biggest thing is eating on time and eating enough. Getting my water in is tough also. My biggest problem is the exercise. I would love to hire a personal trainer, but financially, its not going to happen. I am still doing well, but everytime I eat, regardless of what or how I eat, I feel very sick and just awful. It passes after a bit, but its still there. Like I said, it doesn't matter what I eat,or how slow I eat it.
