Well, is anyone out there?
Hello to you all! It's a shame we all don't check in here being as we all had our surgery's in June of this year. So let me share what is going on with me so far. I've lost a total of 82 pounds since I begin this journey, including weight I lost before surgery. I've gone from a 3X top, 24 pants to a Large top, and a 16 pant size. Which I am currently shrinking out of! Woot! I love this tool and could never have lost this weight with out it! I feel pretty well most of the time. Some times I do have some thigh cramping. I can eat almost anything, or course in small amounts, except for meat. I still have some trouble with that. I am just beginning my excercise program as my knees were so painful. But as the weight comes off I continue to be able to do more and more. Life is good. I recently went on a motorcycle ride with my husband, which I haven't done in years due to my weight. I fit so nice now on the back of his bike, it was a blast! So let's hear how some of the rest of you are doing! Any wow moments? Let's hear from you all!
Hi, Becky. I usually check in at least once a week, if not more. One of the ladies has been very good about calling a Wednesday roll call. I'm down 74 pounds (including 9 pre-surgery). Down from 22/24 & 3X to 20/L. I feel great although I have been battling some tiredness issues. I can eat anything in limited quanities. Still have to work to get my protein/water in. Exercise is fun! (?)
Hi out there too! I do like to check in with the June babies as it is a good place to see if I'm "normal". Ha LOL that is funny!! Anyways.... I am down 75lbs,size 24 to a 16 and a L in tops.I feel great except I am hungry ALOT!!! Anyone else with this problem? I was hungry--not head hunger. I am easily satisfied--doesn't take much.... but usually and hungry hungry in about 2 1/2 hours again. I drink a lot of water in between meals, but it doesn't fill me up like it used to. I can eat just about anything but still have a hard time with red meat. Once in a while I get a bit mouth watery....depends on how well I chew. But my nut said to eat 3 meals and a snack and I think that I am really doing 4-5 "snacks" a day instead.... I walk just a bout every day--that part is going well. I guess I am just afraid that I'm gonna gain it all back anytime I eat too many things in a day. I have slowed a bit in the losing dept.which is really okay with me---I kinda like this size and I am off all my meds now except potassium and prenates which are lifers for me. Anybody where I am?
I had been getting hungry a lot too. Like every couple of hours. Until yesterday. I bought a rotisserie chicken from walmart and got it home and took the meat off the bone and put it in a ziplock bag to munch on throughout the day. I ate it twice and was full ALL DAY! I'm tellin' you, chicken is filling! Lately I've been munching on low fat chips and dip and cheez-its because I can eat more of it and it satisfies my need to "chew". If you like chicken, try eating more of it. I can't even explain to you how FULL I was all day!
To answer the original post, I am down 61 as of this morning. I have gone from a 22/24 top and pant down to an 18 and an XL top down from a 3X. My shoe size has gone down from an 11 to a 10 and I actually bought a 9.5 tennis shoe the other day b/c the 10 was too big! I got into a pair of 14 jeans that I had YEARS ago. They were a little snugg, but what a WOW moment. Oh, and I'm getting collar bones! So exciting!
