Its been 3 months since my surgery and I am doing great! I went and saw DrM Friday... amazingly all my bloodwork was PERFECT. He said I am doing everything I should be and would be very successful with the surgery. All of my levels fell in the normal ranges and I wasnt showing any deficiencies! He asked me questions about diet and exercise and I answered without hesitation. He said he can always tell the people who wont be as successful because they hesitate to answer when he asks them... or they make excuses. It was a great follow up I am down 44lbs since surgery. When I started this journey this time last year I weighed 286lbs! Thats 78lbs in the past year!! I am only a few pounds away from "onederland" and cant wait! All the "skinny" clothes I had packed away are starting to get too big. I have a few pairs of jeans and pants left but the shirts are getting baggier and baggier. I also went from wearing a size 10 shoe to an 81/2 or 9!!! I went shopping at old navy yesterday... its such a great feeling to go to a "normal" store and fit in the clothes... also nice to pay those cheap prices!! Jeans, a sweater and long sleeved tee for $50 - cant beat that! Anyways, I am looking forward to what the future will bring! DrM said I should lose an average of 10lbs a month still for the next few months then it may slow down. I have been losing about 8lbs a month so that would put me only 30-35lbs away from my goal at Christmas time! I need to post some pictures up but am always so lazy and never do it!! haha Hope everybody is doing well this weekend!!

You are doing wonderful! Good job!! I too am very pleased with myself. I weighed about the same as you did, 278 was (one) of my highest weights when I started this journey. I'm down to 200 as of today! I'm wearing a size 16 from a 22/24! Isn't it just grand! I can't believe that I've come this far. I just had all my blood work done and seem to be doing well also. I thank God everyday for this wonderful tool he has given me. I don't ever want to forget where I've come from, nor do I ever want to go back to that place again.
