I stoped losing!
I have been losing extreamly slow. I went from 268 down to 240 in the first month. Then I hit a stall and didn't lose for about 3 1/2 weeks. It is almost my three month mark and I am only down to 223. That is less than 20lbs in two months. WHy am I losing so slow? It is very discouraging. I feel like I am making mostly good decesions and staying on track. I get aprox 60grams of protein a day and have been eating small portions and healthy foods. The worst thing I have eaten is probably a few cheddar cheese pretzles as a snack. I am still struggleing with my water intake, I am at about 30-40oz a day. I know that I need to increase that by at least 20oz a day. I am working on it. I have been 223 for the last 10 days. Anyone else dealing with this?
I had my surgery pretty close to when you had yours. I have been sitting at the same weight for 3 weeks. I still will NOT let that get to me. I started at 274 and I am now at 220. I NEVER could have done that without the surgery. So in the meantime, I am staying away from the scales, exercising, and TRYING to get my water in.
Good Luck!
Hey mine was the same day as yours too. I have been at the same for 3 weeks also. I think my body is still trying to recover from the big surgery and all the changes we are doing. I could never of lost the amount I have on any other plan so I am happy where I am at. I see my surgeon on the 6th of Oct and he will be the one to tell me if I am at the correct weight so far. I also struggle to get the water in and have to work really hard at it. I started at 296 and now at 234 and my Dr here in town said that is great just to up the water. I am proud of you and how far you have come so far dont get down on yourself. Take care.

OMG! I thought I was the only one! good grief I am so frustrated! I started at 286 and I am down to 207.Which is a very good loss and I could not be happier!! but I must admit I am spoiled (as I guess we all are) watching it go down and then all of a sudden BAM!! NOTHING! I have been this weight for the same 3 and 1/2 weeks as you hon!
I am doing exactly as I am suppose to getting in my protein and fluids and I am watching my carbs carefully as well and I excercise for 2 hours every day and yet the scale has not budged!
I have hit 1 week stalls before and then all of a sudden the following week have a 5 or 6 pound loss,I hope this is just a stall and not a plateau (plateau is no weight loss for 3 months or longer)
They say that it is the body "catching up" and it will begin again. We shall see!!
I know I can't be done losing yet at 3 months out so I guess patience is the key word!
as soon as any of us break the stall we should post and let the others know!!
Good Luck Everyone!!!
HUGS!

You and I had surgery on the same day From what you said I believe you are down 45lbs.... as of this past tuesday I was down 40lbs so we are pretty much neck and neck. I havent had to deal with weight loss stalls... just the first 2 weeks post-op I didnt lose.... but I do lose VERY slowly.... my weekly average has been 2lbs a week... have a feeling this week it will be 0lbs thou! Good job on getting the protein in!!! Are you eating enough calories?? Thats another thing to look at. Getting the water in is very very important. Back at around 1.5 months I was only losing 1lb a week. I upped my protein and water and thats when I began losing 2lbs weekly. Some of us are just slow losers. I think when you lose slow you are grateful for each and every pound lost! Also by losing slower I have been learning to make much better choices when it comes to food. Everybody talks about the honeymoon period but I dont think I got one. Its disappointing but in the long run I think it will be a good thing. We are now re-learning how to eat and we will need that tool for the rest of our lives! I feel that if I lost super quick and it was easy I wouldnt be working as hard to change the way I eat and exercise. I would start writing everything down you are eating - or use a website like fitday. My surgeon requires a 3 month followup with him as well as the NUT.... not sure if yours does the same. If not, I would call your NUT and they should be able to help you out!
Besides food/protein, the things that make the most different for me are water and exercise. The water is very very important to the weight loss. You might try setting this goals to get your water down. I started out thinking to myself, I need to get the first bottle down by 10am, 2nd by noon, 3rd by 3pm. I was drinking 16.9 oz bottles. Then I upped to 20 oz bottles and then 24 oz. It's only a swallow or two more but it hasn't seemed like much. Give it a try.
The other thing is exercise. I didn't see a mention of that in your post. You might try upping your exercise -- even if you are doing exercise, do more.
Good luck! Your body is probably resetting and will start loosing again soon. Keep up the good work.
I too had stopped losing - my surg. was day before yours - then BAM all of a sudden this wkd. I went from 219 to 216 and today I'm 214 - it will start again - try adding more protein - it's hard, but I eat a protein bar a day - pure protein choc pb & it is really good - w/ 20 grams of protein it makes my protein intake close to 80 everyday - which I think helped restart the weight loss. Also, if its around that time of month, I notice I stop losing also. Stay positive - your weight loss if wonderful!!!! I saw my surg. on fri. - I am down 61lbs from my high in beginning of June & 51lbs from day of surg. - you seem like your right on track. KEEP GOING
I am in the same boat. Must be normal. I am stuck at 51 pounds lost for about 3 weeks now. My inches lost has stopped or slowed down to a creep, so I am getting impatient to start the scale moving down again.
I too, think I am eating healthy and following the rules. Water is an issue, as that seems to be the case with most folks.
Your post gave me comfort. I AM NOT ALONE
