Hi June Babies, I'm just wondering how much you can eat. I'm currently 12 weeks out and I only eat about 1/4 cup or so, depending on what I eat. Doesn't sound like much to me, so I'm just wondering how I compare. Lisa

Hi Lisa, Our surgeries were 3 days from one another so the same time period, and I am eating about the same. example of a meal for me is: 2 spoofuls of mashies 1 small pork chop 2 spoonfuls of a veggie I still leave food on my plate becasue I get full so fast.LOL my dog is loving me more since the surgery! calorie intake is about 800 for the day, as long as I get my protien in for the day I am happy. It is nice to see you back! how has everything been going for you? ((hugs)) Nancy

Hi Nancy, Things are going pretty well, how about for you? I don't eat pork chops (just dont care for them that much) but I dont think I could eat that much meat. For lunch I usually have 1/4 cup fat free refried beans and alittle reduced fat cheese. For dinner last night I had (I forgot to measure) probably about 1/4 cup of chicken from chicken pot pie. When I did Fitday for yesterday (just started using it) my calories were just under 500. I know I'm not getting in enough protein daily, but I'm working on it. Lisa

I'm 10 weeks out and I probably get about a 1/4 of a cup in at a time too. My biggest problem has been finding the time to get enough meals in during the day. Now that the kids are in school I'm hoping that'll get better. Carolyn

I'm a little over 9 weeks out and eating about a 1/4 cup too. I have no "full feelings" yet, so I make sure I measure everything so I don't overeat. For stuff that can't be measured in measuring cups (like fish, shrimp, chicken), I use a food scale and try to keep it around 2 oz.

It depends on what I am eating how much I can eat. I dont measure my food any more. I just eyeball and put on my plate. I can now start telling when I am full or when I am satisified with what I eat. I feel like I eat a lot because I eat such a variety during the day but if I sat down and measured Im sure each portion isnt much!

My doctor says I can have 3 ounces now, 3 times a day. I am 12 weeks out also.

Hi Lisa, I'm not sure how much I'm eating because I don't measure anything. I do think I'm about 4 or 5 ounces. I am finding that different foods go down easier like salad and others not at all, like pasta. I am able to eat bread which surprised me but chicken is a crap shoot. Sometimes it's no problem, other times I throw up. How's your weight loss? If it's moving too quickly, I'd worry. Otherwise, you are probably taking in enough. Blessings, Kim

Hi there, I can't eat pasta or bread, but I can eat toast, crackers, and wraps. Go figure! My weight loss is maybe a little slow, but I need to step up everything. I'm down 57# today (13 weeks), so I know I'm getting enough, but just wondered how I compare. Thanks for writing Kim! Lisa
