Hey Amy, you are doing fine. Where else could you have lost 47 lbs in this short of time. I too have only lost 50, and sometimes get so discouraged, but thats OK. I am losing - steady loss - so I am happy. Take your measurements, that is the true test. How about your clothes. I am really noticing my clothes - and having to buy new ones. Was your sister heavier than you? Sometimes the heavier you are, the quicker you lose. How nice to go this together - but don't compare. Just support one another.
i started at 321 and am now at 281 so that is 40 pounds in 11 weeks i basically stopped losing weight the entire second month...i also stopped eating and almost had no energy and did very little excersise;;;;then i joined curves and ate 3 meals no matter if i was hungry or not.....while it was still slow i did begin to lose weight again....i read a book that says if you have tried losing weight many times you have really messed up your metabolism.....you really have to jump start it again with excersise and protein.....good luck

I do think my metabolism is messed up, I have been on every kind of diet known to man I think. I believe this is why I worry about not losing as much weight as some. I have failed at so many diets, sometimes I think this might not work either. Then I think, this cant fail because you cant give in and cheat, so it has to work. So many years of dieting has messed with my mind. I must get over that for sure.

I had my surgry June 13th, and the funny thing is I never get on the scale. I know from going to dr and badgering him- is it more than this less than this...I lost approx 60 pounds and started at 270. I could be in a stall 2 weeks I would not know..LOL. I have a horrible time drinking water and my mouth is desert dry. I hate everything but have a shake and maybe a stallone pudding and push dinner- maybe a 4 ounce cottage cheese or 2 ounces of chicken. I never want to eat. I use a lot of protein supplements. I joined curves over a month ago and go 3 to 4 times a week. I take a lot of vitamins including Biotin and Zinc to guard hair..maybe??? And try for 70-90 grams of protein though lots of it is i supplments. I know I need to up calories but the shakes have a lot..and I might be having 5 to 600 some days and that is what they said I should have,. I have to have 2 meals a day they know I can't do 3 and no snacks. no 5 meals a day small allowed- all diets so different. I could stall for 4 weeks and you could overtake me - and we all even out in the end!!!
