Today is the first time I have found this board of the june people. I am glad I have found it. My weight loss is going so slow. Last tuesday made me 10 weeks and I have lost 47 pounds, not that I am not happy with that, I am, but my sister had surgery the same day as me and she has lost 70 pounds. Any one else going this slow?

Hey Amy! I know how you feel. My first appointment after surgery I had lost 25 lbs but btwn the first and second appointment after surgery I lost 6. I did take my measurements and I have lost 35.225 inches total as of July 27th. I 'll take my measurements again next week and see what it's up to. I do have a question...what are people's eating habbits? How much are they eating? How often are they eating? Good Luck! Elana

Hi Elana, I am having a problem eating. Cheese, refried beans and tuna is about it. I was told to eat 3 meals a day of 2 ounces each, to get 60 to 80- grams of protein a day and at least 64 ounces of water a day. I am tired of eating this but when I have other foods they seem to get stuck, I was told not to drink for at least an hour after a meal. Is this what you have to do too?

Hi all. You aren't the only slow loser out there. I will be 8 weeks out on Monday and have only lost 33 pounds. I've been a slow loser with every diet I've ever tried. I was really hoping this was going to be different, but I guess not. I'm eating solid food for lunch and dinner. Breakfast is a protein shake and another protein shake before bed. My nutritionist told me to increase the protein to try to speed up the weight loss so I try for 80-90 grams per day. So far it hasn't made any difference.

Hi Cindy, I have always been a slow loser to, no matter what I tried, but I thought I would really lose with RNY.

Amy, I am eating 6 - 8 meals a day but each one a small amount. I can eat pretty much whatever I want. I have a weigh****chers smoothie first thing when i wake up. When I get to work, I have the white of a hard boiled egg or something like the morningstar farm products. I have a spoonful of peanut butter to get my calories up. Lunch can be a chicken wing or part of a chicken leg or some split pea soup with beneprotein mixed in. Dinner is pretty much the same types of things. I don't drink 30 minutes before a meal & 30 minutes after a meal and try to get in at least 2 liters of water a day. -Elana

Elana Difference in Dr's. I have noticed on the other boards that people are told such different things to do. I have thought of trying several little meals, like 1 ounce 5 times a day to see if that would help me kick start my loosing. Any time I eat chicken I lose it

Heather, You think it is where chicken is so dry? I have tried putting mayo and making a chicken salad but still does not work.

The only way I can eat chicken is in soup. Any other way and it gets stuck and eventually has to come back out. Nasty. Ben
