Still Awefully Tired
I was on the 28th and I too get tired easily. It has a lot to do with our protein intake. Also we used to run on carbs. No fuel, no energy. I'm also trying to incorporate some new foods into my diet (by the docs notes) and it is kinda hard. Some of the meat stuff doesn't settle well yet. Fish does well, but that's about all. My husband says I'm moody, but he's a truck driver and only home on weekends, so I'm not sure that I really am !!

I am a month out as of last tuesday and FINALLY started to have more energy. The first month post-op was rough but am feeling much better now. Anesthesia can stay in the body for weeks (4++ weeks) so it could still be causing you issues. I havent had any issues getting in my protein, water & vitamins and slowly been upping my exercise... I found now that I am exercising 4-5 days a week my energy levels are better
My surgery was June 8, and I still find I tire easily. I never did the nap thing...but would find myself winding down and have to have a rest period. I still find periods when I am just worn out. If I don't rest/relax I will get shaky and weak. It's been a different experience for me as I tend to want to go, go, go. As I am eating a little more and exercising more, my endurance is better. I still am not able to put in a full day of activity - especially if the activities involve a lot of outside activity during these hot summer days. By 8:30 - 9:00PM, I am ready for the day to end. I am fortunate to not have to return to wor****il the 15th of Aug., but have been busy taking classes, week long workshops, and also watching the grandkids. I've also been in trying to get things ready for my classroom this fall. Everything takes more effort this summer - I guess I'm not superwoman - and neither are you. Give yourself time to heal and give your body the rest it needs. Everyone I've visited with have said short rest periods are better than long naps. Also exercise helps increase energy level. Good luck!!!!
During the first month I was napping during the day wether I wanted to or not...I was just exhausted. I spoke with my surgeon and he recommended exercise and I'm like I'm too pooped to do that....
but I tried walking more and started doing alot more daily activities... Now I'm back to work, this past week was the first full 9-5 and can I tell you.. this weekend I was wiped out especially since I had to do house cleaning all weekend long... on sunday I went to church in the morning and then rested in the evening....
I must say that I wasn't as drained today at work but my online session tonight won't be long....
a little sleepy
so...I suggest get to exercising and try to establish a routine...

I was very tired at 3 weeks. Your body is still healing from major surgery. Give it some time. Listen to your body and get sleep when it craves it. I just went out of town for five days and although I'm six weeks out, I feel like I did at 2-3 weeks. I'm at work today but realized that the trip took too much out of me - after all I'm still healing also. I'm going to go to bed when I get home from work.
