Good morning all. I went to the doctor for my 2 week visit and I have lost a total of 36.1 pounds and 16.5 inches. I never thought it would go so fast. Of course, I have 195 pounds to go. I am having trouble keeping protein in. Everytime I drink any, it immediately runs right through me. I put in a call to my doctor and I am waiting for them to call me back. Has anybody else had this so far? Also, can anybody tell me what they are eating at 2 1/2 weeks out? Timmalynn

you are doing great , I will be two weeks out fri. and I am stuck at 30 right now. you maybe alittle lactose intolerant right now and need to get a powder based protein drink, or it could be the flavor your drinking. choc dosent agree with alot of people at first. Can't say anything about eating yet but i could say some things I would like to have.lol jackie

Hey Timmalynn - Couldn't tell ya on the eating part, like Jackie, I know what I WANT to eat, but am still on liquids. I wanted to say though, WAY TO GO!!! 36lbs???? OMGosh that's fantastic. I bet you're starting to feel pretty good too. I hope so! As far as the protein staying in - I was talking with another June buddy who mentioned the same thing - and I sometimes have that problem as well - it depends on the drink.. Isopure - the clear stuff does that to me, and one of the Muscle Milks was also doing it - although, I've been lactose intolerant prior to surgery, and am not sure that's the case for me any longer since I've had some milk based drinks that have given me ZERO problems..... And what I was gonna say is.... lactose intolerance issues run through me WAY faster then the protein, so I think it may be primarily a protein issue... My husband thinks it may have something to do with lack of fiber to help bind things up and slow them down.... AND - the whey protein most of us are drinking is really easily absorbed (thus it's design) so perhaps it just gets in and out and done with faster???? I"d be very curious to see what your doc says in response to the question.

Check the amount of sugar in the drink and as stated above you could be lactose intolerant. You may want to try lactaid or light soy milk in lieu of regular FF milk I just passed 3 weeks out and here is what I have been eating: (everything is 3oz servings, any dairy is all FF or light) Breakfast: cottage cheese, yogert, 1 egg scrambled w/cheese, omlete (with spinach or soy sausage) Snacks: mozz cheese sticks, soy crisps, cheese w/whole wheat wheat thins, protein shake Lunch/Dinner: tuna fish w/light miracle whip on whole wheat wheat thins, deli turkey, chicken (made in crock pot), Veggie Chili w/cheese/sour cream or on cottage cheese, refried beans w/cheese/sour cream - eat plain or with whole wheat chips, grilled cheese (I ate one square and tore off the crust). Hope this helps!!
