How much have you lost?

I had surgery June 15th and I'm down 26lbs! Congrats to everyone for their successful surgeries and weight loss! We did it!

Holly, my surgery was the 14th and i am down 22 lbs. Congrats on your loss, that is great. what a ride we are on!

Surgery 6/20 and down about 16-18 pounds I think. I go to the dr for my 2-week today so I'll find out for sure.

Hi everyone!! Congrats on your wonderful success. My surgery was on 6/29 and I've lost 13 pounds so far. I do have say with the exception of the this horrible liquid diet...it's much nicer being on this side of the surgery.

Surgery date was 6/28 and I'm down about 21 lbs. I'm loving that! I too don't like just the liquids but I got skim milk today and it was great!!!! I've had problems with a filmy mouth and teeth and an awful taste. Anyone else? Magina

Magina, Congrats on your weight loss. At one week out I had only lost 7 lbs. but was informed that this is perfectly normal. I hope it will be better at the one month appointment but not really feeling any significant loss...although clothes are getting a little looser. You may have what they call "thrush." This fungal infections (yeast) happens in some people and results from all the antibiotics that end up killing off even the friendly bacteria that you need in your stomach. Look at your tongue. Does it have a white coating that sort of scrapes off with some effort? Thrush comes UP from the digestive tract so if it's in your mouth it is blooming down there. You'll need to go to the doctor and get a prescription for....probably Nystatin which they'll give you either in a the form of lozenges or a liquid that you swish and swallow a little bit at a time, four times a day. I know......I had it. It's gross. Take care! Amy
