Thank g-d I'm home
I went in for surgery on Thursdsay, my operation was supposed to be at 11:15am. I think it happened around 1pm, I was sooo frustrated sitting in pre-op not knowing what was going on. My surgeon came and appologized because she had sent down word that she was running longer in her first surgery. The anestsologist had to put in my IV - no offense but doctos do a better job. Being so frustrated and having the surgeon and anestesologist being annoyed that they came down, I didn't know what was going on and I had no IV they were annoyed, I lost it. My surgeon came and held my hand, I thought that was very sweet of her.
My hospital stay was not much better. I didn't care much for the morphine. The nurses weren't very responsive, I had to wait 45 minutes for a nurse to help me to the bathroom, and this was typcial. I had to rely on the techs because they never made me wait more than 5 mintues for they help in moving the IV's and stuff. Whatever good news is, I'm home!!!
Well, I'm so glad you are home, I know hospitals can be so frustrating. I'm sorry you had a tough time there, but since you are recovering well, that's a lot to be thankful for! Now, sip your water and try to get in your liquids and try and walk every day. I couldn't believe that I would get out of breath walking 4 houses away, where my pal lives, and I did that easily before surgery. But after a few days it got easier and easier, you are still recovering.
