Hi...my name is Heidi & I have been reading the posts daily for a while but just started posting. I had RNY laproscopially on June 15th. I had gotten down from 334 to 317 the 10 days proior to surgery but when I weighed in 1 week after surgery I was up 6 pounds to 323 & still holiding at that as of now. My doc says that is normal & that my body os still swollen & adjusting & that this is a normal disppointment for many. She says I will see results very soon. I trust she is right but I have to admit that it is very frustrating. I have been following the instructions pretty good although some days I know I do not get in enough protein & I do the best I can on the water. My body seems to be accepting the foods I have been eating & I do feel great so far! Just wondered if anyone else was in the same situation...although it seems everyone is dropping the pounds real nicely so far...except me! I look forward to your replies! ~ Heidi *Peachygirl* With the help of God & true friends, I come to realize I still had two strong legs & even wings to fly. My surgery was the 21st and I didn't lose what I'd hoped to at my one-week yesterday. The doctor said they don't even look at the weight at this appointment or the next one. He said that at this stage of the game...even if we didn't exercise...the nature of the procedure has induced starvation that ONLY the bypass patient can live through. The weight loss is inevitable. I would look at this as a whole process and that's what I'm trying to do. I'm going from my starting weight from the first time I was weighed on the "cattle scale" at the clinic. Count that too...it's all part of the process. So for me at week one post op, I've lost 8 pounds. And for you at week two post-op, the loss is 11 lbs. I bet when we go back at one month the results will tell a different story....but don't sweat it. Just take each day and know in your heart of hearts you've followed the rules and like he said, "The loss is inevitable." Take care.. Amy

I am feeling that exact same way. My surgery was a few days before yours and I stopped losing after the first week and a half. I have changed up a few things that I was eating and I have started to go to the gym. I haven't seen a change yet but it's only been a few days. I will be thinking about you and hope that it starts coming off for you! Take care! Melanei
