2 Weeks Post Op - Feeling Great! - What are you eating?
Hi All,
I had my surgery on 6/16 and I'm down 22lbs. I feel good. The rain on the East Coast has really limited my outside exercise, but I've been out just about everyday doing something. I was very good the first week with my eating. I ate nothing except the food choices off the paper I was given. Now, I'm on smush and mush, but that ends on Friday for the most part.
I feel so blessed. I've only felt nauseous one time and that was when I didn't eat for a long time. I'm now starting to feel hungry, but I still can't eat much, so I guess that is good. I'm worried that I'm not getting enough protien. I get about 50 grams per day and my goal is 80 to 90. Some days more, some days less. I don't love those protien shakes, so I drink the Profect, its easy to get down and finish.
At firs****er was fine, but now it dosen't seem to be setting well with me. I drink it now at room temperature with Crystal Light. I've eatten chicken and fish and both agreed with me.
What is everyone else eating?
Hi
I had my surgery on 06/23 so I am one week post-op. I was on smush and mush foods from the time I came home from the hospital and I have had refried beans with a sprinkle of cheese (eating that now for the second time only now it is lunch), scrambled eggs, egg salad, jello, pudding, yogurt and all have gone down good just in very small amounts (about 2 teaspoons).
For water I have been drinking CL Peach Tea most of the time and at night time ice water.
I also love coffee so in the mornings I make about 6 cups of decaf coffee and then put it in a blender, add ice, 2 scoops of IDS Vanilla/Cinnamon, about 3 or 4 tablespoons of skim milk and a dash of sf hazelnut syrup and blend. It is good for about 52 grams of protein and is yummy.
And best of all - I feel wonderful!
Andrea
