Help... has anyone else experienced naseasuness that lasted several days?? I had my lap GB on 6/5.. and was doing pretty well. I had gotten to the stage of eating tuna, canned chicken, and eggs.. Friday I tried some rotisserie chicken from the store -- (no skin, mashed it good).. and it made me puke within a few minutes. I've been naseaus since then.. Can't look at food, think about it, talk about it, etc.. or I get sick. I called the Nurse, and she said the texture of the chicken probably just upset my stomach and that it should pass in a couple days.. she said to go back to jello and water until I feel better. UGH.. I just don't seem to be getting better yet and it's frustrating. Anyone have any suggestions?

I get nauseated on occasion and I just chalk it up to the whole new stomach thing. I was told once that our new lifestyle is like a newborn baby's. We have to learn how to eat all over again and what may agree with us one day can make us sick the next. I think after time it gets better. Hope you feel better soon!

Hi- I am scheduled for lap surgery tomorrow. I am on clear liquids for one week after, then all liquids for 2 weeks and then pureed foods. Since you are only 3 weeks out maybe it is just too soon. I heard many doctors follow different after surgery diets. The only caution I heard was that you don't want to vomit cuz that may move the band. Hope all is getting better. Karen

Maybe just go back to your clear or full liquid plan for awhile? You know what I am talking about the boring jello, popsicles, and broth... Good Luck! Robin

Thanks for your responses. I am feeling a tad better today.. I was able to keep down some chicken noodle soup this morning, and a little bit of peanut butter this afternoon.
