2 wk. SNAG; not so hot

Hey, June babies. Had mine on the 9th. Yesterday, 13 days out, one of my incisions broke open (about 1 inch wide), and scared me to death. Then, this a.m. I woke up with a BEAR of a constipation problem. Feeling miserable all day, and sitting on a baseball? Sorry to be gross. Anyone else have a set back? I hope I wake up tomorrow and feel good again. HELP! Sher Lo

Hi Sher Lo Sorry to hear about the incision,ouch! Hon your not being goss at all this is what we are all here for to help one another no matter what the problem is.I am sure you contacted your Dr. about your insision,did you talk to him about the constipation? I had a small bout of it after about the 5th day of surgery and my Dr. recommended taking Phillips Milk of Magnesia and it fixed the problem right away,it is not a harsh laxative and you don't get crampy from it.I have had no problem since. Are you getting your fluids in? with the hot weather upon us we have to be extremely careful of that,and be sure that you are not drinking anything with caffeine,caffiene works are a duretic and will cause dehydration. I guess best advise is call your Dr.don't worry about it being a weekend,his answering service can page him to call you,that is what he is there for.If you still have not moved your bowels do not wait it will get worse and you don't want to land up with a bowel obstruction.
