I am going through the process of ordering some protein drinks online. I get to start those on my 7th day. My problem is that there are sooo many! What are you going to use? Thanks, Robin

Hi Robin I tried so many and most are gross, the most popular and the best tasting I found is Nectar in fuzzy navel and strawberry Kiwi I bought mine on Ebay cheaper than the websites. and also the slim fast carb control vanilla and chocolate is tolorable. The clinic gave me 5 boxes of Nutra Recipes and I had to force myself to get it down. I tried Profect the 3 oz.vials NASTY!and extremely expensive. It is all about what your taste is and what you can tolorate. in other words its a crap shoot to find what you like. Best of Luck! Nancy

Hi Robin........so far the best that I have found is Isopure, its a ready to drink one and i bought them at GNC. 40 Grams of carbs in the 20 oz bottle, its like drinking watered down fruit punch. I also really liked the matrix choc. it tasted like choco cake batter, the best price i have found for that one is on barix website. I think its barixclinic.com and then click on store. Hope that helps Stacy

Hi Robin, Welcome to the club I had my surgery on 6/16 and I feel really great. I was very confused by everything I read, and I've found that I hate most of the protein shakes I've tried. (I really can't stand drinks w/after tastes or that are thick and/or chalky). I can and do drink Carnation Instant Breakfast (No Sugar Added) if I keep shaking it up and Muscle Milk (Cookies & Cream and chocolate) is good, but really sweet tasting. You can get Muscle Milk at GNC and the Vitamine Shoppe. However, my favorite (easy to go down and get done with) is Protica's Profect. They're less than 3 oz, have 25 g of protein, no sugar and taste pretty good. I've tried the cool melon splash & berry ??. Both are good and I've oredered the other 2 flavors on Thursday to try. They are more like juce than a shake, not chalky and no after taste. You can order a sampler pack and there is a 15% discount (info on OH's site) available. I recomend that you samples at first of all of any of the protein drinks your considering or at least order the small size. They're expensive and you don't want to waste money buying something you hate. I wish you well on your journey. EW

You can order some samples of different protein mixes at: www.vitalady.com - you can order one of COUNTLESS kinds here.. www.bariatriceating.com - susan Marie's sight - she has a pack of them she sends www.unjury.com - has samples of the unjury that everyone is always talking about. Hope that leads you in some decent directions!! Also - I'm working on winning a bid on EBAY right now for some Profect samples.. I've heard such mixed reviews that I have to just sample it for now... some people say, just CHUG it if you can't handle it, but... what if that causes wretching because it's so nasty?!?!?! I don't think I could handle that post op... I hate it pre-op!! lol... Anyhoo - good luck!! Let us know if you find a winner, k? Tin K
