Got home yesterday...
Well, it is official, I am on the loser's bench. Never thought I would get here. The road seemed long, but when I look back, it all happened in the blink of an eye and now I am home with my new life. I am still quite sore and trying to all my water in. Today I am feeling quite light headed and tired. I am working on staying positive and taking it one day at a time. I have quite a bit of gas that is causing me to hiccup and they are painful. Did anyone else have anything like this? I walk, walk, and walk some more, but there isn't much relief yet.
Hope you are all having a great day.
Jeanna
Jeanna hon WELCOME BACK! it is so great to hear everything went well and you are now an offical Loser!
The Gas......geez,this is the most common problem post op,walking is the main key,but if you are really bothered by it,I would call your surgeon and tell him you are walking and still not getting relief,he may prescribe something or maybe have you take some Gas X or something like that,I wouldn't take it until you speak with him first.
It gets better,I am 2 weeks out now and it subsided after about 8-9 days and doen't bother me much anymore.
I hope you get some relief soon!
If you need me for anything hon don't hesitate for a minute to email me!
I CARE!
((((hugs)))

Jeanna, Great to have you back! Big congratulations on making it to that so wonderful loosers bench.
I don't have any advice, as I'm still one week out, but I HAVE heard walk, walk, and walk some more (though I know you are) and then - call the surgeon!! lol... Nancy said it all! I do hope it gets better for you soon though. You'd think they'd have come up with an effective way to get all that gas out of our system before closing up don't you think?!?!?!?! lol... well, I hope you're doing better as I type, and can't wait to hear all about your brand new journey's beginning.
Love and (((HUGS)))
