Mon. for me
Had my last appt. with the surgeon..they told me i would go to ICU and not a room because I had a heart attack 18 months ago. He said it was planned and precautionary and not to be worried, I will have a better ratio of care 2-1. So I guess it's a good thing. I am most scared of having the tube put in or still in when i am awake. I will be pretty much alone during the days after. My dh will check in and be with me at nite.. I waited so long and jumped so many hoops that I am in shock that I am really doing this...for me. I am ending the insanity that comes from doing the same things over and over and expecting different results. say a prayer for me on Mon. Thanks to all who preceed me....g
G, prayers will be with you Monday, that's for sure... does your surgeon know that you're uncomfortable with the tube being in place when you wake up?? Make sure you share that, and then maybe they'll be extra cautious to see it's done?? Just my thoughts.
I'm glad to hear though that you're able to get this even post heart attack - it sounds like it could be a real life saver for you as it will take so much stress off of your heart when you take the weight off.
Take care, and keep us updated when you get home
