Hello fellow June post op's

I'm sorry I have not kept in touch I did not know this existed. I've been posting on the main message board and keeping my profile up, but I never looked at my surgery support or reunion pages. I guess I am not that computer literate yet, to look for those things. My name is Michel and I had Open rny June 5 by Dr. Martindale at OHSU in Oregon. I live in Vancouver washington and run a child care out of my home. I have a loving husband of 22 years and two beautiful teenage daughters. One year ago I weighed 710 pounds and on June 5 I went into surgery at 607. I will find out saturday what I am now. I have a lymphedemic leg that gives me problems, other than that I am fairly healthy. My surgery went great, they planned for 4 hours and I was only on the table 1 1/2 what a blessing. I did not have any medical complications only communication between my insurance Kaiser and the hospital OHSU so I was in the hospital 9 days. I saw each extra day as a day to get stronger and more able to care for myself when I got home. My husband is off work and caring for me and helping my assistants keep the child care going. Michele you are soooooo on your way hon! to loose that much weight prior to surgery! talk about willpower and determination! You go gurl and you run with your achievements and don't stop! congrats and we are glad to have you aboard! Be sure to keep us updated! (((hugs))) Nancy
