Well I am back and let me say this OOOOOOOOOOH the pain. Unfortunately for me I was allergic to vicodine and I woke up in the recovery room with just the remnantes of pain killer. I was back in my room for 2 hours without any pain management. It took them forever to come up with something I could take but they finally did. I cant remember what they gave me but I'll post it later when I feel better. If you are going to have this surgery talk with your doctor before hand so you both can come up with a plan BEFORE they cut you.

Hey guys , Thanks for the words of encouragement. Today is day 4 and I am feeling much better. I just found out that my sister will be having the same surgery on july 21st with the same doctor. My daughter is also doing well but she seems to be taking her fluids slower than I do. I feel that we should go at our own pace with the fluids as our bodies heal at different rates. In the hospital my daughter was taking her fluids 3x faster than me and she became very ill.

Annalise! I'm so glad to hear from you, I've been meaning to call, but unsure if you were up to chatting. I'm sorry about the pain, that's awful!! Did you both end up staying a night then? I'm glad to hear things are better though today. That's very, very good news, and it sounds like your dd is doing so well too! She'll come along with her fluids and what works for her the best I'm sure. How cool to have another relative doing the surgery too. Family gatherings will be just that much easier with one more person who understands! Good to hear from you! I'll try to call later today. (((HUGS))) Tin K
