My 1 week post op visit! WOW moments!

Hi Everyone! Today was my one week post op check up at the clinic.The first wow moment since the surgery, when I went to get dressed,I put on a denim skort I just loved!it WAS my favorite and it fell too the floor,I mean waist to floor,I just stood there in disbelief.My daughter walked in and said Mom hello??? I think the idea is to wear it on your body..lol...I showed her she was totally floored!thank gawd I have clothes I saved that were too small.Mind you there were some VERY happy tears of joy! Rick came home from work he is on 3rd shift and took me to the clinic,Ifelt so bad he was tired but I am not able to drive yet and it is a 27 mile drive,both ways,and he never complains......about that anyway!LOL anyway,I came face to face with that "dreaded thing" aka...the scale. I damn near fell over! ***Drum Roll Please*** I LOST 19 POUNDS IN ONE WEEK! whooooo hooooo!!! I am in a state of Euphoria! and to make it even better!my blood sugar was 104 this morning and the results of my AC1 test came back normal and I am down to 2 low dose shots of insulin! Dr.said I will most likely be off it all togetherin 6-8 weeks. That is a blessing in disguise! Thank you all for your ongoing support! As always I hope that everyone that has surgeries comimg up are as lucky and blessed as I am so far. (((hugs to all))) Nancy

Way To GO!!!!!!!! that is wonderful!!!!! I am so proud for you!!!!! Keepp up the EXCELLENT work!!!!! I am doing pretty well. I have go to plan going back to work on Monday and how to get my water in and take time to eat. One challange for me is my morning coffee. I love it but have to wait an hour after drinking to eat. I am sure I will figure it out. I take my steri-strips off on Monday- I am healing well (surgery June 8th)!!! : take care BeacBum Donna!!!!!!
