I have to work Wednesday which is the day I do my bowel prep! What the heck?! I work in a firm with good looking men everywhere!! I'm totally going to ask my boss to pretty please let me be off that day. Otherwise, they better get their carpet cleaners ready! Pahaha!

Ok bowel prep, my surgery in on Monday, should I take off sat. Or will I only need sun. For prep.

Hi Big Funn! My surgery is Wed. I was to prep 48 hrs prior to surgery which was today (Mon) I did it this morning and I can only have clear liquids till surgery. I took the fleet this morning I was "okay" by 2pm. But I could not imagine even going to the mailbox before then. Hope that helps you decide. MsSmiles

Might be a little late for this advice but I hear cutting back on junk food the week before and doing clear liquids only....easy on the juices..maybe water them down..... for a few days really helps by the day you have to drink the "drain-o." Or..."liquid dynamite." Have done this before for something and found that Tucks pads or flushable wipes are moist, cooling and soothing. Amy

Thankfully I've been on a clear liquid diet plus 1 protein shake since Friday. I suppose it could have been worse. I keep thinking about the poor nurse that has to cath me for surgery. They are gonna think I am a baboon.

No advice here. My doc's office does not do bowel prep. Perhaps because they have us on Bariatriax prepered food prior to surgery? From the sound of this I'm pretty glad! I had a colonoscopy about 1 1/2 yrs. ago, and this sounds similar! My sympathy's. Suggestions: Good book, lots of soft potty paper, portable phone, TV, radio, a TV tray in to put stuff on while your there.
