POST-OP and Feeling Fine!!!

Hi everyone. I am one week, two days post-op and I am feeling great. I still have some weakness and tire easily but other than that am feeling good. My suture sites are all but healed. I have a bit of tenderness with the lowest one. I am on the full liquid diet and am doing okay on that. I am trying to be creative with the protein shakes. Nothing has tasted better than that first taste of soup! I had top notch care at Topeka's ST Francis Hospital and the folks at Tallgrass are the very best. The Lord has truely blessed this experience by hooking me up with the best care! My surgeon is also an opera and jazz singer. He serenaded me with a round of "Fly Me to the Moon" after my surgery! He is great! I hope you are all going to have the same positive experience that I have had so far. There is no where but up from here!!

Way to go! I'm 5 days post-op and not feeling that great. I hope I'll be in the same place you are with a few more days of healing. My lower suture site (the one by my belly button) is really bothering me too. I'm still really swollen so that's not helping. -Christine
