4 days post op
Hi everyone,
Sorry it is taking me this long to get my story up, I am in a bit more pain than I expected. Everything went really well and I am having no problems with liquids. The excess pain is coming for a little extra manipulation on the part of the Dr....I had an old adhesion he had to work around so I am more sore than most people are at this point. Today was a good day have been able to get in and out of bed myself for the first time. Most of gas is gone, it wasnt as bad as I thought it would be. It really is weird not being hungry....havent eaten anything solid on over a week and right now I dont really miss it. I go to see my Dr on wed, I will update again then.
SO happy to be on the losers bench....cant wait for everyone else in this forum to join me

Congrats, Melissa! You and I had the same surgery date! It sounds like you will agree with me that each day it gets a little better! I still get very tired and sore, especially in the afternoon. I am having to make myself take it easy...which is not easy with two small children. But, they understand and are doing pretty good!
It is really weird to not be hungry. I had 2 weeks of liquids pre-op, so it has been almost 3 weeks since I have had anything solid. I do look forward to the day when I can have regular food again - BUT - I am not ready to ru**** My pouch is certaintly not ready!
I wish you the best!
Keep in touch!

everyday definately gets better. If it werent for the one incision he really had to do a lot of pulling and pushing in I would be great. That one still causes me a large amount of pain. I had a few bites of sugar free choc pudding last night....it was heavenly. Otherwise I cant wait to get my teeth into something I can bite...I do miss having to chew my food but thats my heads problem not my stomach.
Hope everyone is doing well

hi, melissa i am also 4 days postop. I agree about the not being hungry part. Everyone asks me if I have an appetite and I have to say no appetite at all, but I do make myself eat like Deanna said and I do the protein shakes. I think of my hair everytime and they go down just fine, lol. I have a bit of gas now and then yet, but Gasx is my "friend". Here is to the losing side of life for us!!
