vena cava filter

Has anyone had to get one of these? Are they painful? I was told I would need one before surgery. My date for that procedure is June 19th.

Amy You may want to post this on the main message board. I've seen other people post about it. I've read it does not hurt I asked about them from my doc but was told I didn't need one. I wanted one! You are having the procedure the day I have my surgery. Good luck! G.
