JUNE 13 IS D-Day
This weekend I start my 10-day clear liquid diet. Are we having fun yet? I am truly looking forward to my surgery. I've been miserable for so long and have heard "just diet" for so many years, that I can hardly wait to start my new journey. So many people just do not understand that you cannot just diet. I did for a year and lost 60 pounds went home for Thanksgiving, started eating and put on the 60+ pounds and I still hear, just diet. Not only did I put all the weight back on, but I developed a compulsive eating disorder. I have five grown children and of course, they are very concerned, but I told them if it is my time to go, then it doesn't matter if I am on an operating table or if I walk out get hit by a Mack Truck. I just do not think about that. I am thinking only positive. The thing that bothers me the most is the dry mouth after surgery in the recovery room. From prior surgeries, I can remember how dry my mouth was. I am sure that I am in God's hands and God will be directing Dr. Warnock's hands. There comes a time when you just have to put your life in the Master's hands and have faith. Good luck to all of my June buddies.

Kathleen, we have the same perspective! I too believe God already has the date and time of my life here on earth settled on, and surgery or not, won't matter much. I too though will be writing letters, and carrying my power of attorney etc.. with me!! lol.. Good luck to you on the beginning of your journey. I think it's going to be an amazing ride for all of us, and since I'm going to be one of the last this month, I can't wait to join all of you on the loosing side! You all can check it out for me in advance, k?? he he... I hear ya on the baby food too.. That's on my dieticians list for me as well!
Good luck,
K
