Hi Kerri
The 1/2 marathon is April 14th. I'm hoping to be able to run it, but will be happy to just fini**** WOW - I can't believe you're doing another one so soon. Way to stay in shape. I'm hoping to drop about 11 lbs during my training.
I had a great Christmas and hope you did too.
Happy New Year!!

Topic: Had sono today
I still have no idea what's going on with the pain under my right ribs. I won't "officially" have the results for a few days, but it was interesting.
I saw my roux limb - nice and straight, no kinks or anything. She took an image of that.
She took a LOT of pics of my liver...she kept coming back to that and taking more measurements and pics... I know they can't tell me anything...but I usually press anyway... so I threw out "does it still look like I have a fatty liver?" She said "I'm not a doctor and I'm not the one who will read these for your results, but I don't see any"
She took a few shots of my gall bladder - me, still pressing for info - explained that I had images taken there in 99 showing gallstones and asked if they had pulled those images. She said "No, but we will pull them because the doctor is going to be surprised at how CLEAN your gall bladder is - this is the cleanest, emptyest gall bladder I have ever seen - are you sure your surgeon didn't clean your gall bladder out when you had your RNY?" I said "I'm pretty sure, unless that was an unmentioned free bonus!" Okay - so I think I can safely say it's not gallstones causing this.
She took just a couple of shots of my left kidney and a whole bunch of shots of my right kidney. I have no idea what I'm looking at on the screen as far as the kidneys go. I can tell you that I could see the shape of them and they look all white and fuzzy inside. That's about it. She gave me no further clues.... but I'm getting the impression by her facial expressions that she didn't see anything.
So..... I have no ideas. I know the pain is still there, just not nearly as bad as it was. I know the nausea is still there and is just grotesque. I guess I have to wait for the "official" results and see what the next step is.
I'm thinking if all of this is negative, maybe I should be doing some sort of gastro testing, maybe with barium to see if it is my digestive tract? A deudonal ulcer? I have no idea. I'm on Prevacid....so not sure what else could be done anyway. I guess if it gets bad again, I'll just go to the ER.

Hi Holly~ Good to see you! I can really relate to the hanging "sock" issue. Eventually I'll have to have work done as well, but we are still trying to get pregnant, so I can't do anything until after that.
I'm glad that your surgery will be covered. Maybe they can cut you a deal on the implants, etc. if it's done at the same time?
Anyways, hope you had a wonderful Christmas.
Blessings,
Kerri

Hey, hey there Sharyn! I was wondering where you had gone to! Too exciting that you're doing your first half marathon~ when is it? I'm just now starting to train again for my second~ on Feb. 4th. I've been doing 6 mi. pretty consistently, but more than that, not so much with the holidays. Fortunately, all of the fam. just left today, so it's back to being a good girl again~
Hope you had a great Christmas!
hugs,
Kerri

Hello Holly!
Yes our little board is dwindling down to the few and faithful, but I am grateful for it still. It gets me through these rough days.
You are smart to be in therapy. I wish someone around here specialized in our field. I could use someone with insight. It is a strange thing to share with those that don't understand or haven't been where we are. I too am tall and large framed. 6 foot and big boned. Everyone keeps telling me that I look normal and don't need to get any smaller, but I am obsessed with getting to a certain size. I know after plastics, I will be really close to goal weight 185. But I am not sure that will satisfy me. I have a picture in my head, you know?
I want to have my breasts, arms and thighs done also, but right now I am scheduled for the panniculectomy and butt lift on feb. 6th. I worry about the other procedures, the scarring etc. But they don't look too great now either!
Well good luck on everything and let us know how it turns out, don't be a stranger, we need all the faces we can get around here!

Wow 25 years!! Congratulations!
I am so glad that you had a good time. I would love to see Vegas too. We don't drink or gamble either, but I have heard that it is a cool place to go anyway. I want to see a Tom Jones show!!
I have no idea about the knees, other than, maybe because you have walked all along you developed muscle to strengthen them, and then when you stopped excersizing, they went lax a little and don't support your joints as much. This is just a wild guess though.
Maybe all the wild sex you had on your vacation bent them in the wrong way!!! LOL!!
Sorry, I couldn't resist!
Maybe see the ortho doc and have some tests done. Hope you feel better soon.

Look at you - hot momma!!!
Good luck with the TT and butt lift - I know you'll enjoy the results. I need a little tweak, but am happy not to have to wear a girdle - especially since I still had a big ball.
