Hi Pam~ You must be sooo frustrated with not knowing what is going on. I'm glad that the pain is less, that's a praise! And, have some fun while trying to put on the lbs. I think I would be able to accomplish that with no problem!
I'm still trying to take off these last 15 lbs.
Hey, by the way, how are your new "girls" and arm surgery? Are you completely happy with how everything has healed? Your pics look fab!!
Keep us posted on how things progress, and if you find out what the issue is.
Hugs,
Kerri

Oh man, Pam
I almost fell out of my chair. Don't worry, Kerri and I will take you for a little 13.1 mile run/walk. I have been to the gym everyday this year
So look out - you just gave me permission to bug you!!
So get your butt up and do 2 sets of crunches and push ups, then you can go to bed.

Topic: Test results....
Everything came back negative. That's GREAT but I have to admit that I'm disappointed just a little because that means I have no answer for what's going on with me. *sigh*
The pain is still there....but it is a very low intensity and has been low like this for a few days. I'm not sure what to do at this point. Maybe I should just keep taking the Prevacid and wait n see? I am negative for Hpylori...so that's not the issue.... I just don't know.
I'm trying to focus on puttin a few pounds ON (that's a switch!) just in case it does come back real bad and I end up very sick or in surgery. I just think I would feel safer with a little extra weight to sustain me in an emergency. This whole episode has made me so leery.
Hugs,
Pam

Sharyn,
I need you to do me favor. Put on the meanest thickest boots you have, get one of those cool lazer shocker things that the police carry, come to my house, kick me right square in the arse all the way out the door - If I should resist you or whine in any way shape or form - HIT ME with the lazer thing. Drag my sorry tail all the way to the gym. When we get to the gym, leave that lazer shocker thing attached to the two most protruding areas of my chest.... threaten to HIT ME with it again unless I run..... RUN NOW on the treadmill until you TELL me to stop. If I do as I am told, you may reward me with a sip of water. Then drag my tail over to the weight machines.... lazer shocking thing still attached.... you get the picture.
I admire you girl. RUB OFF ON ME PLEASE!!!!
Hugs,
Pam

Hey Kerri
Thanks for the help. I have pieced together 3 training plans into 1, but would love to see what you have. I'm doing 2.5 miles in that 30 mins right now. My schedule has me adding more time until I'm running 100% in a few weeks, then it goes by distance. But I must say, I like your ratio better. I should have spoke to you first. Thanks for believing in me. I would also be interested in hearing about any nutritional information you have. The amount of time and calories that will be burned has always concerned me. Especially since it's impossible for us to eat a boat load of spaghetti the night before.

Hi Sharyn~ You run more than I do!!!! When starting to train, a marathon coach taught me to do interval training for distance. I do a 3:1 ratio, 3 walking to 1 jogging. I coudn't do 5 min of jogging if I wanted to!!!! For the actual race, or distances over 10 mi., I do 4:1. You do NOT need to be able to run/jog the race to be able to complete it. With your race in April, you have plenty of time for training. I can email you a training schedule if you'd like~ what to do each weekend, etc. Like I said, I had a guy from the CA board help me out~ he trains people to complete marathons and his advice helped me greatly. I think at this point, I would start trying to up your distances. How far are you going in that 30 min.?
I completely, 100% believe you can do the 1/2 marathon in April, even if you hadn't been doing ANY training yet. You still have plenty of time. Let me know if you'd like for me to help you with a schedule.
Take care and keep up the great work!
Hugs,
Kerri

Hey Kerri
I've been wondering if I am bitting off more than I can chew. I don't jog 100% yet. Right now I do 5 min jog, 3 min walk for a total of 30 minnutes. Do you think it will be pushing myself too hard to do the 1/2 in April? Be honest!!
ya

Good for you Sharyn~ I've got severe cramps and am not going to be doing much today!
I am getting my protein drink in, though. 4 weeks and counting until the next half marathon~ I'll be running my bootie off within the next few days to crank up the training. I haven't done more than 8 mi. since my last one~ yikes!! Going to the gym is a great way to start the new year. Keep it up!!

Kerri

Topic: Happy New Year!!
We are all officially over 18 months now and "on our own." I'm headed to the gym and am going to get some protein in before I go.
Anyone want to join me?
