Hi MJ!!
Glad to hear from you! I haven't been quite so diligent with the boards lately myself believe it or not!! Life is so busy now. I have thought of you from time to time and am so glad life is better for you.
Keep in touch girl, we all like to hear from each other once in awhile.
Love,
Wendy

Hi Mary Jo! Good to hear from you. It's been very quiet on this board for sometime now.
I think many of us are facing the issue of grazing or eating more than we did before. I am post plastic surgery and have a huge grazing issue. It got so out of hand. I am trying as of today to get a handle on it. I don't want to gain my weight back. It seems so much easier to fall off the track as time goes on.
We are going to hit the 2 year mark and I am terrified. I read several posts of people regaining their weight and I don't want to be one of them. I worked so hard to get to where I am now. For me, it's not only eating too much, it's the wrong foods.
Now that I had my first round of plastic surgery, LBL and thighplasty I need to be more diligent. I don't want to undo all the work that was done on me. In fact, I am hoping to have my second round of plastics in late April or early May - brachioplasty and breast lift with implants.
I am going to take today one moment at a time and try to focus on making my pouch a happy one again. I know that I feel better when I follow pouch rules. So I will keep that in mind.
Take care my friend. I am glad to hear that your weight has balanced out.
Hugs,
Lucy

Hi Mary Jo,
I think all of us are visiting less, now that we are all coming up on 1 1/2 years out, life post surgery goes on and we are feeling more comfortable in our new skins, at least I know I am...Glad to hear you are doing well and happy with your new body image...no preaching, but it is important to have a least a yearly followup with your surgeon, just to make sure all your numbers look good - this far out it is easier to forget all we went thru to get here, outside is looking really good and I know I tend to associate looking thin with being healthy, but inside you are different and will have to remember that for the rest of your life so you can keep your health up to snuff...Keep in touch...

...to fall off the boards! i got to be honest, it has been MONTHS since i have even popped in. i don't know why, i guess other things just started to consume my life. i did find myself a boyfriend! LOL he makes me very happy and i love him very much!
i miss all my junebugs, i tried reading and doing some "catching up". as for me, not having any real issues. i have gained some weight, but i really needed to. my low i was down to 106 and people were constantly telling me i looked sick...one of my friends i saw even called my sister and wanted to know why no one told him i was sick! i do believe i had developed an eating disorder and struggled with it for awhile. but now, i finally feel comfortable, i am back up to 114 and think right around here is a good weight for me. i never went back to my surgeon for follow-up after my 1 yr, so i still need to do that.
i hope everyone is doing well. i thought of my junebug family tonight and decided i would pop in to say hello!

Thanks so much Pam for the kind words! You have done amazing, too!!! I can't wait to get to where you are with having my ps done...someday.
Hope you're feeling better soon and that they discover what the issue is!
Hugs,
Kerri
Topic: RE: Test results....
Hey Pam!
Long time no post for me! I have been without my computer for awhile, trying to have the viruses removed!!
Well, I agree with Lisa. It is simple and easy to have a scope done. Also mention the possibility of an internal hernia to your doc and see what they say.
Hope you feel better soon.

Pam,
I still wouldn't rule out it being your gallbladder. My bloodwork and utlrasound came back normal. The next text was called a HIDA scan with some sort of injection that makes your gallbladder think you have just ate a huge meal. Needless to say I had my gallbladder out a few weeks later. You may want to request this test.
Hope they figure out what is wrong.
Amy
P.S I hurt under my right ribs too. As soon as I woke up from surgery that pain was gone!

HEY PAM..but u havent actually had a scope in the testing?
THATs the only way they saw my ulcer...was via scope.
NO signs in blood work.
NO signs in other scans i had and stuff on my journey
SO maybe its worth doing a scope....
good luck pain stinks.
I know i had a virus that came with a bunch
of pain...cramping for 2 days but you been
far longer then that.
GOOD luck but maybe push to have a scope and
let them look inside whats going on the pouch there
not painful at all but u proly have to take a day from work
to have it done.
GOOD LUCK
hugs

Hey Pam
Maybe you should ask them to make sure you don't have a celiac sprue since it's hard to diagnose and misdiagnosed a lot. Just to check it off the list.
BTW - I was so tired today I fell asleep and mised going to the gym, darn it!! My 1st miss this year.

Hi Pam~
I am sorry that you aren't feeling good and still don't have an answer...I'm sure still frustrating. Hope that things are settled very soon...I wish that I needed to put a few lbs. on myself, but I am still trying to lose atleast 50 more before this summer. And with christmas over I seem to be hungrier than ever....
Keep us posted on how you are doing...I have been reading posts here and there when I have had a free moment ( which is far and few between at this point). Anyway, keep posting....I look forward to reading them.
