Stay strong Lynn, you are going to make it...I'm proud of you, do not think I could make it thru a carb detox...Are you detoxing because you feel like you are just eating too many carbs or is it because you want to make a change to help jumpstart a new loss period? Keep checking in and posting with me, I really find taking a hard look at what you eat down on paper makes you realize better what is going wrong or right, plus you get honest feedback from others that may be more objective about your choices...Until tomorrow...

Feeling pretty chipper today...Had an office staff meeting and got some stressors off my chest which did wonders for my mood and I'm hoping will also help with my desires to wonder of the road into snack land...Sometimes those snacks are so tempting...Yesterday Connie noted biscotti as one of foods she ate, and I know I fall prey to the call of the biscotti too, its one of the few real sugar foods I can eat because the sugars are less than 8 grams per serving and I usually dump with over 10 grams...Anyway, enough rambling, here's my food:
B - 1 ini chocolate dipped pretzel
20 oz 1/2 decaf sf / ff starbucks cinnamon dolce latte
S - 10 cheddar mini pretzels
1 oz lf cheddar cheese
1 sf peanut cluster
L - 3-4 oz slice of meatloaf w/ tomato sauce
3/4 cup tomato and avocado salad w/ lemon dressing
1 sf peanut butter cup
S - 1 oz honey roasted peanuts
D - 2 chocolate dipped strawberries
1 sf apple muffin
3 prune bites
1 bite of my husbands pancake
S - 9 oz banana yogart protein drink
Plus 71 oz water/crystal light
Chime in and let me know if this post is helping you stay on track...

Alesia,
I am glad that you started posting these. I too have been struggling. It is so frustrating to have done so good for so long and then fall right back into bad habit. I have put on 10lbs over the winter but I deserved to, I have been grazing and eating all the wrong foods. I am starting day 3 of my detox from carbs. It is really hard. I have so much junk in the house, between stuff for my daycare and my daughter and her family are living with me so they bring home all kinds of bad stuff. I went upstairs yesterday to find some lunch and on the counter was a can of pringles and a box of Girl scout cookies. Yipes!!!! But luckily I was able to tough it out. I am really hungry the last couple of days. But I am trying to ignore it. What a pain. I wish this could be a non- issue for me. But I am afraid it is a problem that will follow me all my life. Well anyway it it nice to know that I am not the only one. Well, good luck to us all. May we all have a good day today.
Lynn

Good Morning All,
Operating in a fog today, still not over this head thing I got goin' on and the meds make me foggy, but back at work and trying to get back on a good food schedule + push some extra liquids in...
B - 2 protein balls
S - slice sf oreo cheesecake ( got recipe of S/M's site, it's a keeper)
L - 1 sf peppermint pattie
2 protein balls
S - 1 prune
D - 3/4 cup italian chicken with pastina
1/2 cup caesar salad
S - 1 piece of candy
medium chocolate dipped banana
1 small chocolate dipped pretzel
LIQUIDS - 103 oz water/crystal light
Overall a pretty good day...Having a foggy health day helped put off the desire to eat, even snacking, so I guess that it also will help me get back on track...Only downfall as I see it was making the chocolate dipped strawberries and pretzels caused me to snack a little heavy in the evening, little bit of left over chocolate really tasted good on the banana (LOL)...Off to a good start today, of course, will post todays food in the A.M. tomorrow, see ya'll soon...

Hi Alesia. I did not have a very successful day.
Breakfast was fine - had an AchievOne protein drink.
Lunch - that's when it started to go down hill. I went out with my sister and brother in law. It was my fault. I had a small salad with grilled chicken in it with balsamic vingarette. But I did eat bread with butter. I think about 4 small pieces.
We stopped at a drugstore on the way home. I bought and ate a chocolate caramel easter egg that had pecans in it. I ate a small size mint chocolate chip ice cream in a cup.
For dinner I ate 3 thin slices of swiss cheese, salsa cashews, 1 orange, 1 very small apple.
Later on, I ate two servings of weigh****chers strawberry shortcake and yup, about 12 orange flavored Hershey kisses.
A very bad day!
Lucy

Hello All,
Its Monday morning and I am posting from home, got hit is weekend with a terrible cold/allergy attack and woke up this mornings sounding like a bad baritone...Since I am on the phone all day for my job, decided to take a sick day...Observation, if most weekends for me are as bad as this last one was, I really need to work on "the weekends" to improve my eating habits...Got a reply yesterday from a 5 year out post op, made good sense, about eating the same things day in and day out...Read an article recently, Readers Digest I think, about how having little variation in food choices helps you maintain a health weight...The theory being that you don't over indulge on the same old tastes, that deciding to have something new and different is what wakes up your brain to over indulge..Interesting idea, will have to give this some more thought...Now on to Sundays food...
AM
4 nice bites of scrambled egg
2 sf apple muffins
Early PM
1/3 chicken california salad w/1.5 oz of chicken and 10 pecans mixed in with greens and fruits
1 yeast roll w/ margarine
2 fried mozzerella triangles w/ marinara
Later PM
3 oz grilled tri-tip steak
1 sm cheddar biscuit
2 stalks steamed broccoli w/ vinegar
1 protein ball
1 piece sf p/b candy
Drinks
10 sf protein hot chocolate, 68 oz water/crystal light, 20 oz skinny 1/2 decaf latte
Overall not too bad, feel like not enough solid protein...How did everyone else do?

Hello Chip
Great to see you here. I so needed this post. I too have been missing in action. I post alot on the Cali board and forget this one. Shame on me. I too have stuggled lately getting this last 90lbs off of me and put back on a few.
So it is definitely back to basics for me. Even though I still start my day with a protein drink I need to cut back the carbs and increase the water.
I know we can do it with all of the support and help here.
Monica

Topic: RE: Accountability-What did you eat Saturday, 3/24
Good morning Alesia.
I was very, very bad yesterday. I ate whatever I wanted and more than 3 meals for the day. Carbs, chocolate, ice cream and nuts. I am writing this down to be accountable.
Today I am planning on a very strict, low calorie day getting in at least 60 grams of protein, vitamins and water. I need to detox and I know that today will be the most difficult to get through. I am doing this for me and me alone. I miss the new me and need to put a stop to this destructive behavior now.
So far I have had a cup of coffee with skim milk and FF hazelnut creamer.
Breakfast will be a Capuccino AchievOne drink.
Lunch will be Stallone High Protein Pudding.
Dinner is pending - put it will be something that is high protein.
Now that I've said it and confessed to my so destructive behavior yesterday, I feel a lot better.
Thanks for starting this post. I will be posting my results tomorrow. I am doing this today and it's only for me!
Hugs,
Lucy

Topic: Accountability-What did you eat Saturday, 3/24
Good morning all,
Well I must say food wise, Saturday sucked, cleaned house and in between cleaning meet with contractors for tree removal and contractors for a custom closet installation...Made the day hectic and disjointed, thus basically spent the whole day picking...Putting this down is a good way to remind myself what NOT TO DO...Cannot even brake this down into meals & snacks, except dinner it was that bad...
Daytime
2 protein balls
3 sf peanut butter wafer cookies
1 piece sf pecan turtle
1 mini mounds bar
4 oz lf cottage cheese with 4 oz sf jello
1 piece sf peanutbutter cup
2 pieces sf pecan turtle
1 protein ball
Dinner
6 shrimp scampi w/ 2 fettecini noodles
1/2 cup caesar salad
1/2 scoop no sugar added turtle icecream
Total water or crystal light - 79 oz
How is everyone else doing? Weekends are tough for me, not structured enough...
