I am letting hubby do it all Lucy lol! He is a very good nurse. My two pugs are keeping me company and the cat! My big dogs want too, but I am afraid they will hurt me so I keep them down off the bed.
The hospital bed my husband brought home from work is very nice to sit in and sleep in. I wish everyone having this surgery would get one! They are perfect for this!
Thanks for the well wishes and thoughts Lucy, I will try to keep in touch when I can!

Thanks Kerri!
I expect to be off work 6 weeks, but I hope I am doing better before then. I am so sore right now, but it is not the intense pain I expected. It was way worse a few days ago.

It feels weird right now cause it is numb and all swollen. Right now I don't have a waist at all! I was a little upset, but maybe when the swelling goes down that will change! It is still alot better than that big old gut hanging around.
Thanks for the prayers and well wishes, I am BORED as you said, so keeping hubby busy entertaining me! LOL!

Topic: Almost Two Years
Hi, Surgi-mates!
I'm coming up on two years of a happier, healthier life, and just wanted to say hello to all of my contemporaries. My diabetes is in remission, my b/p is normal, and my last blood work was entirely normal, with the B12 being slightly elevated.
I recently started work at a place where they don't know anything about my surgery or my past weight problems. It is so strange; these people don't talk about their weight, or my weight, or ANYONE'S weight! I feel as if I'm in a different country! I've never worked anywhere that these topics weren't #1!!
I went on the Ensenada Cruise last month, I'm training for a big-time walk in July, and then going to the OH convention in Irvine next week. Lotsa fun stuff going on.
I hope everyone continues to do well with their surgery recoveries and learning to live with our new tummies. I see that some are getting PS, and I'm so jealous! That will not be on my financial radar, but I'm happy that others are able to get rid of the extra skin. Mine is now enough to cover another person! (I've lost 150#, so that means another whole person, right?!) Thank heavens for 3/4 sleeves!
Enjoy your new lives!

Hi Wendy! I was starting to get worried about you. It's been a long time.
Got to love the new belly button! You had lots of skin removed, WOW!
Make sure to take it easy and don't strain yourself. I don't want to hear that you pop your incision lines. Let your hubby take care of you!
Happy Easter!
Love,
Lucy

YAY!! I'm so happy for you and glad to see you checking in. That must be so cool to have a flat tummy and a new little belly button!!! I'll always dream about having that. I'll bet it is wierd looking down at it. If it were me, I would probably be looking at it a hundred times a day in amazement.
Wow... 15-20 pounds! I know you are going to feel so free once you are all healed up. I hear so many people say that thier weight loss picks up again after having thier tummy done too. I know I can't eat as much since I had my abdominal surgery.
Take it easy my friend and heal, heal, heal. I'm off work for the next two weeks so I hope you can get online when you can. It's BORING sitting at home...but nice at the same time! lol... I know it's difficult going from sitting to standing and vice versa... I'll be thinking of you and saying a prayer for your quick and perfect recovery.
Hugs,
Pam
