Wendy, Totally understandable.....anyone would be nervous about it.... I would be too! I'm such a creature of my own comfort zone. I hate sticking my toe out and testing new waters... But don't underestimate YOU girl! 6 years of household & family management is no easy job...it takes brains, strength, organization, decision making, and is plenty of work. Shoot, you can do anything after that! Good luck on the new job!! You'll be GREAT! Pam

Topic: Back from my first OH Conference!!!
OMG you guys! I had an all out BLAST at the Richmond Boogie & Splash! I sooooooooo wish some of my fellow junies could have been there! I can't even begin to tell you how awesome it was to meet people from the boards in person...how much fun we had.....I'll just name off some of the fun... The first cool thing, was seeing faces for the first time (in person) and walking right up to them knowing who they are and having them recognize me as well... all just from chatting on the boards. I can't even name them all off.... Leilani, Natalie, David, Sharon, Susan E, Tee, Track, LiquidStayce, Roberta, Rick, Joanne, Tigger, oh...and soo soo many others!! The LIMBO contest: they needed volunteers to do the limbo and people were not volunteering....So I said to myself "shoot, i'll go up there and do it a couple of times while the bar is high just to get this going" and I went up there.... Well LO and BEHOLD - I WON!!! I couldn't believe it! We DANCED AND DANCED AND DANCED! I lost my OH event virginity..... I lost my CAGE DANCING virginity! That's right! I got up in the dance cage over the dance floor and shook my bootie! We were having a CrAzY time! I got "laid" by Leilani... at the aloha breakfast.... I feel so special! I met new people that I haven't spoke with before on the boards... made lots of new friendships....formed some special bonds....danced my ever livin booty off...got TONS and TONS of free samples.... Oh yea.... and I won one of the drawings - which was a beach bucket full of protein shakes, energy drinks and protein bars (in addition to all the free samples) By the time I got out of there, I had filled an entire backpack with samples and some things that I bought! AWESOME There's going to be another gathering in Richmond, VA in January. I am soooooo going to that! I hope and pray some of my fellow Junies can go! I want to hang with my dear family so bad! If you guys have any events coming up in your area.... post about them on here and maybe, just maybe some of the other Junies will be able to come. I know I'm HOOKED on OH events now!! Love you all! Pam

Thanks Lynn! It has been an amazing year. As for the 10 miles, well... let's just say that it was further than I should have gone. I guess you don't really know where that "wall" is until you hit it... and I definitely did! I'm still in major pain from my sunburn. Not one of my more brilliant moments! It's knocked me on my fanny for 2 days now. Oh well... Have a wonderful Sunday! Hugs, Kerri

Good morning Wendy~ It's totally normal to be nervous before starting a new job. All of those "what if's" can drive you crazy!! I know that you will be great! Hang in there and just make it through tomorrow. I really think it'll get easier from that point on. You can do anything for 5-6 weeks!! Look at what you've been able to do in a year! If it's any consolation, I feel this way every August before school starts. Then after the first day starts, everything is fine. Congrats on wearing misses sized scrubs. That has to feel great! Hugs, Kerri

I am starting my new job tomorrow guys. I haven't worked in 6 years I have been home with my kids. I was so excited, but now I am as nervous as can be!!!!!! I keep thinking of what could go wrong! What about my kids, the laundry, the house, the dogs. What if I am not as smart as I was and don't catch on at the new job! What if I hate working. What if........ etc. Uggghhhh!!!!! I know that after my training period I will go to part time only 2 days a week, but the next 5 or six weeks full time of 3rd shift? What was I thinking? I hope I can keep it together. I really want to go back to the hospital, I miss having a life that does not involve little people and furry critters! LOL! On a happy note, I actually bought my scrubs and did not have to go to the plus section of the uniform store!! I was happy about that. Thanks for listening. Wendy

Congratulations Kerri, You have done an awesome job. Great job on the 10 mile walk. That is a long way. It is amazing what we can do physically now that we are thinner. It is truly an amazing year. Congrats. Lynn

Hi Kerri Happy belated re-birthday!! You look awesome! Congratulations!!! I'm at the same spot. I have about 40 more lbs to go. I know the key now is to be patient. Slow and steady wins the race. However, I want it now!! Good luck on the rest of your journey! Sharyn

Congratulations on your great "loss". That was wonderful to go down alot inches and pounds. June 22nd was my 1st re-birthday this year also. I went from 285lbs.to 214lbs. From size 28 to size 20 now. Went from wearing 3x to 1x now, somethings in xl size. Don't get too many people noticing me, but my ex-husband thought I looked sexy and wanted to remarry me. Yeah, right, I don't think so. Keep up the great work.
