Haven't heard from insurance yet...if not, it will cost me $11,060...yikes!!! But that is $7,500 less than the first Dr. I had a consult with!!!

I considered the travel insurance, but decided if I can't go, I'll let my husband take one of my daughters in my place!
We are going to the eastern Caribbean...St. Thomas, San Juan and a couple of other places...but I'm going to be on that boat!!!

I've been so busy experiencing the euphoria of my new self that I haven't visited here much.
As of this week I'm down 165 pounds from my surgery.

Hi Dawn, my surgery sister!
Here's a great recipe for pork roast that is really WLS friendly and I make often. You might want to cut the roast in half through the grain of the meat before you put it in the crockpot - smaller shreds of meat!
Mexican Pork Crock Pot Stew
2 pounds pork roast
32 oz. salsa
2 T. Chili Powder
2 T. Garlic Powder
2 11-oz. cans Mexicorn
2 15-oz cans pinto beans
Combine raw pork, salsa and seasonings in crockpot and cook on low overnight. The next morning, shred pork with forks right in pot. Add drained mexicorn and beans. Cook on low for as few as 3-4 and as many as 10 hours before serving.

Congratulations!!! You will do wonderful. After I had mine done I was still tight but not sore after a month. It is awesome, Took almost 8 weeks for all the swelling to go down but you will love it. They put me on vitamin C to help healing 2 weeks before surgery and I healed really fast and my scar if fading really well.
Let us know how it goes but you are going to look fantastic!!! I love cruises, we went to Jamacia, Grand Caymans and Cozumel last March and had a blast. I know you will too.
