Hi Wendy~ I almost posted about this the other day, so I'm glad someone else did. I still have 40 lbs. to my personal goal of 150. I am weighing usually around 188-190. I've been walking alot and playing quite a bit of racquetball. I always get in above 100g of protein, somewhere around 50-60 oz. of water~ I keep trying to improve on that one. I'm diligent about my vitamins. If I've worked out that day, my water is more. When I went to my surgeon for my 1 year, he said that I am about where he thought I would be after the 18 months. There's a chance that I will still lose, but my body may be done. Or, I could lose up to another 20 lbs. or so. In the last month, I go the 23rd to 23rd, I have only lost 2 lbs. at the most, when I'm weighing 188. I do think my body is still changing, though. I was able to fit into 2 pairs of size 12 capris, and am wearing almost all size 14's now. A pair of jeans that were skin tight when I took my 1 year pics 2 weeks ago, fit now, so even though the lbs. aren't coming off, hopefully the inches still are. Last month, I lost about 7 lbs, the month before that it was 5. All I can say is that we have to hang in there. I still fear that I'm eating too much, especially lately. It seems like all I want to do is eat, although I still don't endulge in sugar or very many carbs. Let's keep our spirits up. Even if the weight loss slows to nothing, if we're exercising, we are continuing to be healthy. Hugs, Kerri

I want to lose 33 more and am not even losing--I'm gaining. It has just come on suddenly, so now I've figured out if I stay below 1,500 calories, I can lose. I'm counting calories. Even though, according to the charts, I need 2,025 calories to maintain my weight, if I get over 1,600 calories, I gain weight. I haven't been able to exercise in 2 months because of a problem with my left hip and thigh (related to my back). I've started again, despite of the problem though; so hopefully that will kick it back in gear!! Becky lap rny/6-22-05

I too eat half of a sandwich open-faced. Howevere, last night I ate two whole-wheat beef fajitas. The whole-wheat tortillas are small compared to the white tortillas, but this still concerns me. I am definitely able to eat more. . . but not nearly what I could have before surgery. But my appetite has increased enough that I'm putting on weight. This is very disconcerting for me. Hey, You look awesome....I wish I was where you were!!! You will do fine with your plastics. Where are you at now? You profile has the 11 month weight. I agree with you about going under the knife and getting it done to. Good luck and just try thats all you can do! Stacey

Good Morning all, I'm updating today from Germany. Cris and I are having a wonderful time here. We have already been to Rome, and even had tickets for a General Audience with Pope Benedict. This is certainly a once in a lifetime trip for both of us. We found out last evening at dinner that we will be flying to Paris on Saturday morning and returning to Germany on Monday night. This is more than we could have ever imagined. Cris and I feel like royalty. Before I left on June 30th my weight had gone back up to 153, today I am 147. Yes, I've lost 6 lbs since we have been here. We have walked so much, especially in Rome. We probably walked at least 7 miles a day. Sebastian told us that we need to rest a bit this week as we will be doing a lot of walking in Paris. The food here is okay. I'm having a little trouble getting in all of my protein and I'm running very low on my atkins bars. We are going to the supermarket today and see if I can find some. I have not had any real problems, except one night I did eat a bar too fast and had to get rid of it...if you know what I mean. Other than that I'm very careful. I'm glad I can't eat sugar because I know I would be trying all of these beautiful sweets here. Not a problem for me. The market (like a big farmers market) is wonderful. I have eaten some wonderful fresh fruits and veggies. The tomatoes rock! I have even had some wild figs...not more than one or two as they are very naturally sweet and I don't want to have an issue. Wendy I am in the same situation as you and the others. I have 20 lbs to go to but another 10-20 lbs. added to it for my personal goal. The last two months I have lost 4 lbs. and 5lbs. repectedly!! My weight loss has also really slowed down; this month I have lost only 2 lbs but I do have until the 28th til my next weigh in. I am having trouble keeping my carbs. down and sometimes I get very upset with myself. My exercising has droped the last few weeks and I noticed it yesterday when I went walking; which I love to do. I was walking 3-5 miles per day. Yesterday I only walked 3 miles and that took everything out of me. When I ride my bike I usually ride 8-10 mile which I find is easier to do than walking. At the moment I have a flat so bike riding is out. I have given myself until Christmas to lose 20 lbs. and at that time I will work on my last 10-20 lbs. Good luck to everyone!! We can do it!!!

Hi all! I wanted to wait for PS until I was down to my goal. However, my hernia had a different idea - it wants to me fixed, now!!! So, I hate to waste a trip under the knife so I'm traveling to Cincinnati to have my hernia repaired, bodylift with circumferential abdominalplasty, and armlift. My surgery is August 25th, so I'm going to see how much I can loose before then. Sharyn
