Hey Wendy thanks for checking in. I hope you had a blast camping it is so much fun. As for me. I am working the summer session and then look forward to 3 weeks off. Will be a busy angel to my lil angelette kevin A who will have surgery on Aug 21at and then I plan to head to Denver to spend time with my dad.
In the meantime I hope that the doctor can figure out the source of my tummy pain. I have had an edoscopy which was clear and just had a cat scan this morning and will get the result on wednesday.
Hope everyone is having a great summer

Lisa!!!
Me too! I don't know why it is.... I agree about losing all the excess insulation.... but SHEESH! I guess the lower blood pressure thing makes sense too...
It's odd. Before wls, I camped out in the a/c and rarely went outside. Now, I actually ENJOY going out in the heat - it feels so good!
It's time for me to get my labs done again - so I don't know how things are with my levels right now... But I did have low Vit D and B12 on my last labs... not sure that has anything to do with it.
Keep us posted on what happens on your appt. Hope everything goes well!
Hugs,
Pam

Hi Lisa,
Long time no post.....life has been challenging lately.....such a busy time of year!
To answer your question...yes! I am freezing all the time too! I wear a sweater in the house, take one with me to the stores as they are always trying to freeze me out and any where else that has air conditioning. I always 3/4 length sleeves (to hide my bat wings) or long sleeves plus the sweater.
My husband says that I look silly wearing a sweater all the time....then he touches my hands or sees the goose bumps and then understands. I still wear my flannel p.j.'s to bed!
I not only think we lost our insulation but I know that my blood pressure is very low (usually around 84 over 48) so that means less circulation too. Anyway...I think we are very "normal"!
Have a great day!
Sue

THANKS thats the input i want to hear.
IM just concerned that im still very
cold at 85 degrees.....
thanks for ur reply Kerri

Hi Lisa~ This is a great question because so many of us were dealing with the coldness issue. I live in S. Cal where it is routinely over 100 degrees. I do still need the air conditioning, although I can withstand the temps a lot better now than I used to. I don't get cold very often in my house with the temp set at about 75, although I do lower it if I'm working out. I still take a jacket/sweater into all restaurants and movie theatres because of getting cold. However, I don't get cold as often in this weather. I do get hot in this weather.
Don't know if any of that helps or not. Keep us posted about your progress and about the numbness issues. Is it a neurologist that you're going to see next week? Hopefully it will be something that will just go away.
Blessings,
Kerri

here is my dilema........
I AM ALWAY SOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooo cold.
And what i dont get is my house is 85 and i am still cold...
I dont want AC, i cant get in my pool to even swim cause
im forever super cold. I mean in the winter i understood

complaining at me )
SO tell me folks are you all finding these summer temps

matters.
THANKS! LOVE to hear from what others are going thru.
SURE i understand i lost alot of insulation but this is crazy!
WHEN will i feel comfty and 100! GUESS ill know next week
thanks in advance!

Hiya Ms. Wendy
Just checking in between all of the craziness! We are doing a huge project at work, so I have been working all kinds of funky hours since the beginning of June and will continue until the end of this month. In the midst of that, I moved into a new townhouse, and my son totaled my car (came through without a scratch Thank God) so I am car shopping, which is a big pain in the butt.
I am also planning his graduation party for the 30th, and getting all of the paperwork finalized for him to start college at the end of August. Between those things, I am also running to swim meets with my daughter. *WHEW*
Weight loss has been slow. I did manage to drop 3 pounds within the last few weeks...probably from the stress of moving. Once upon a time I would have eaten my way through a stressful situation, now people have to remind me to eat...what a difference!
Oh...my panniculectomy has been covered by the insurance company, so that is good news. I want to get the lower body lift done at the same time so that the anesthesia and room charges will be less since the insurance company will pick some of that cost up if I do them at the same time. I just don't know when I am going to have time to schedule it.
Have a great camping trip!!

Hey Wendy,
It's been a very busy spring and summer for me thus far, and at the moment I am posting from Frankfurt, Germany. We are headed with Sebastian to Paris tomorrow for 3 days. We will be flying back home on Friday the 21st. It is absolutely beautiful here and I have lost 7 lbs since I've been on vacation.
Eating lots of different foods, but being kind of careful. I've had a couple of
incidents since I've been here and one really bad dumping. Our hosts order fresh fruit for me without sugar and after eating just a few berries I knew something wasn't right. Within about 10 minutes my heart started racing, I got really dizzy and felt aweful. I politely told our hosts to go ahead and finish the fruit as I was full. At the bottom of the bowl was the culprit...sugar syrup. Well, I survived but it wasn't pleasant.
We are headed north this afternoon with Sebastian's parents. Guess we are going to some kind of bbq. Not sure what the german bbq but we'll see.
Have a great day and great weekend.
All my best, Deb

Hi Wendy~ I'm getting ready to have a boatload of company coming into my house starting Saturday. First Mom flies in, then Dad is driving in, then my brother and his family is coming a few days later, all for a big family reunion. I'm looking forward to having everyone here~ I always miss my family. Plus, we will get to do a redo of Knott's Berry Farm. Last year at this time, I had to watch everyone go on all of the rides. This year, I'll be first in line with my nephews and niece.
Life had been crazy doing house projects. We usually only have time to do them during the summer. So far we've redone our guest bathroom, painted our loft, installed new baseboards in our downstairs, and installed chair rail in our living room and dining room. VERY glad to be done with those!!!!
I'm also still trying to get ready to do the 1/2 marathon in October. I can do the 6 miles with little difficulty, but turning that into 13 miles is another thing. I was really sore after 8 miles and about died from heat stroke after doing 10 miles. I haven't tried it again since then.
The weight is trickling off, if that. I'm still being very good with what I'm eating, but I am fighting the portion size. I'm having to go back to measuring some of the portions because I find that I want to eat too much. I did fit into a couple of size 12's which was unbelievable for me. I do still have a ways to go~ I'd like to end up somewhere around 150. I'm at 188 now, soooo... we'll see.
Hope you have a fabulous time camping! It's too hot here fo me to go.
Hugs,
Kerri
