Topic: RE: Cold turkey!
I know what you mean about the little bites adding up to big ones! I snacked all through vacation and felt the worst I have felt since I had surgery. I felt sick like. Not with it or something and tired all the time. I know when I get my protein I feel much better.

Topic: Cold turkey!
Today I am trying a new tactic on my bad habits, I am gonna go cold turkey. I had gotten into a bad habit of snacking on daycare stuff. Graham crackers, animal crackers and the other bad stuff that kids like to eat. Just a bite here or a bite there but it scares me. So today I promised myself that I am going to stop myself. Wish me luck, So far so good. I call me it my unconcious eating because I take a bite of toast or a handful of cereal without even thinking about it and it is really hard to track a bite here and a bite there in fit day. So my weight loss has slowed down quite a bit which could just be the natural progression of things because I am so close to goal or it could be my snacking problem. But nonetheless I figure if I dont break the habit now when I am two or three years out I will start putting on weight from it. And I am terrified of that. Well anyway, I thought that I would post it here with all my june friends to give me some accountability. Wish me luck. I almost messed up wth the grilled cheese I made them for lunch, but I held strong.
Thanks for listening

Welcome home Wendy,
We missed you while you were gone. The board has been pretty quiet. I think we are all our enjoying our new bodies. I know I have been excercising a lot. Glad your home

Good for you Deb!
I am finally at a point where I can feel the last few pounds now! I never thought I would be so close to goal! I have about 30 and then plastics.
I bet Europe was wonderful. I have always wanted to see it. Especially Italy and Germany. I love old architecture and the buildings there are so fantastic.

Hey Wendy,
Thanks! We are home now from Europe and it was great. This was the first time I have ever gone on vacation and actually lost weight. I lost about 8 lbs overall, at one point 10! I'm finally under 150 and hope to stay there now.
So glad to be back home, but we had the time of our lives, and this was definitely a trip of a lifetime.
Good to be back with my OH family.
Love, Deb

Hi Lisa,
So glad you are on the way to healing. I have been away for almost a month, but was able to read postings on the board. I was sorry to hear you were feeling so bad. Know I was thinking about you and am happy you addressed the issue so quickly.
God bless, Deb

Yeah I am hoping I am back on track. For some reason, I do better at home. It is like the comfort zone for me. Although I am definitely getting rid of the fudge!! I bought 2 lbs of it before we came home!! I think my kids can kill it off and not suffer for it. I hate to dump it on them, I feel guilty, but they generally eat good and I don't usually give them alot of sugar.
How was your reunion! I wish I had a big family to do that with. I don't have much of a family and what I do have is so scattered and not close. I am only close with my parents and two sisters. I don't have cousins or anything that I keep in touch with.

Wendy~ Glad to have you back safe and sound! Fudge~ ughhh!!! I know how you feel, I've been doing nothing but cooking with my family for our reunion yesterday. I've eaten more sugar in the last week than I have all year long! As soon as everyone leaves, it's back to exercise, protein, and no more sugar!!!!
Are ya back on track now? I think we all need to help each other out in any way possible.
Hugs,
Kerri
