Hey Sandy,
I'm here! I am looking for that hand up back on the wagon! Sound like many are doing good and others are like me a bit and have forgot some of our "life long" rules. I could use all the help I can get remembering what it is I am supposed to be doing. I know for sure it's not regular soda when I wake in the morning and that donut!
Wow can you believe it has been 3 years. It seems to be flying right by us.
I wish you the best.
Shelley

It sounds like you are doing great! 303 lbs! Wow that's a lot. Got any secrets that keep you going? I have fallen and need help back on the wagon!
I pray for you that your brain surgery will be a great success and you will be able to live the rest of your life seizure free.
Keep up all the hard work. It's paying off for you!
Hugs,
Shelley
Topic: RE: My old supporters...where are you now? I need you!
Thanks for the reply Sandy. I think that there are many of us at this point who are wanting the extra support we had in the beginning. I think it would be just great to have as many of us needed for that little extra support to get back to our old habits and remind each other what we are supposed to be doing.
I too went back to regular soda and junk. I don't do my protein first and haven't been back to see the dr in a while either. I feel like a failure in that sence. I know that I can get back to where I need to be with the right positive support. I will be 3 years out on the 17th. I am giving myself one week to start weaning myself off the soda and junk and then I am going to try to go back to the hard core rules of the surgery. I have to. I have no other choice if I want to lose the weight and not put back on all I have lost.
I am here if you need some support as well!
Hugs,
Shelley

Aloha,
Today is my 3 year Weight Loss Surgery Anniversary. Wow how time flys. I have lost a total of 303 pounds. So my Motto is 3 year Anniversay and 3 year Milestone.
1. June 6th 2005 I had the Gastric Bypass Surgery and lost 303 pounds.
2. May 3rd 2007 I had Plastic Surgery to remove my pannectilectomy and my arms were done.
3. On April 9th, 2008 Which is the Biggest Milestone. I had Brain Surgery to remove the piece of my brain that causes my Epilectic Seizures. So far so good. It has been 2 months and no Aura's, Symptoms, or Seizures. Thank you Jesus!!!!!
I am crossing my fingers and my toes and I am going to remain and be Seizure free. I have had Epilepsy all my life. To be able to be Seizure free would be the greatest and Biggest Milestone in my life.
Thanks for reading and going through my journey with me of my weight loss and brain surgery.
Love ya all,

Silly
How are you doing since you went back to your doctor? I haven't been back to mine for some time now. I also haven't been going to the support meetings and I do know how important they are...Let me know how you are. I am here for you. I had my surgery in June of 05. I have gained about 18 pounds and it is a worry about gaining it all back. It is hard to get the protein in everyday....I am really working hard on it. Some days I don't eat any at all or have water. I have been trying to drink water with flavored diet tea. So far today I might of have 20 oz of water and 20 grames of protein...Fish tonight for supper! Good luck and keep in touch.
Hugs

wow..i see that I am not the only one that has put pounds back on. I am getting a little worried now as I am up to 170 and I was maintaining at 162 for a long time...With each one of you and your posting I feel that I can too get back on track. In fact I have not had any coke for 3 days and I am fixing fish for my supper tonight. I have been trying to get out and walk but I hate to go by myself. Can't get hubby up to go with me.
Take care everyone and I hope we all have good news when we post again.

Hello Shelley
I was trying to find some of my supporter that I had back in 05. It is hard to believe that it has been almost 3 years that we had the by pass done. I never lost all the weight that I wanted to. I did get down to 159 for about onr week. I have put on 10 pounds but would like to get back on tract and take that off plus the other ten I never lost. It was just to easy to fall back into the old habits...I started to drink reg. pop and than eating the junk instead of protein...I am trying real hard to stop, but sometimes we need to have our supporters around us. I am here for you and with each others help we CAN loose that weight again and more! I know too that I need to get back in to see my dr. I have not been back to see him in the last year and half.
hope to hear back from you soon.
Hugs to you too
Sandy
