Topic: RE: Weekly Update and WOW!
Hi Lucy~ We just got back from a few days away at the beach. What fun!
Congratulations on your continued weight loss. My scales haven't moved much in about 3 weeks, but I'm still down 5 lbs. for the month. Today is my 14 month anniversary, and I'm thrilled about the changes.
I'm with all of you...love Pam's idea... "Hi, I'm Kerri and I'm a shopaholic!" Isn't it the truth? I'm still in size 12-14's, lg or xl. If you guys ever have any clothes you want to get rid of, I'd be happy to take them off of your hands!!
I think I'm losing, but my clothes sizes aren't changing too much. I did do my measurements today and have lost another 2 inches off of my waist and an inch or so off of my hips.
I'm so happy for you that you are feeling better. I have been worried about you! So many Junebugs seem to be having some sort of health issues. The only thing I'm dealing with right now, which isn't WLS related, is a possible pre-cancerous spot on my nose. I've been dealing with it for months. I have a physical on Monday, I imagine they'll do a biopsy of it at that time. When I had seen the PA, they said there was infection that needed to be cleared up before they could biopsy it. It hurts! Probably all of those years of tanning with no spf! I'm paying for it now. We'll see what they say.
I just got fitted for some running shoes, registered for the half marathon, and booked my hotel. It's really going to happen!! Hope that I can make it to the finish line! I had a OH'er help schedule a training schedule, and give me lots of pointers. I'm so thankful because I had pretty much been doing my own training regimine. He has done multiple marathons, both pre and post op. What a huge help!
Have a wonderful day yourself and keep us updated on your ps journey.
Hugs,
Kerri

Topic: RE: Cruise & PS
Hey Sharyn,
I did mine the opposite of you! I had my PS (LBL) on August 10 (two weeks PO tomorrow) and my 7-day cruise is September 17.
I'm doing great! The LBL wasn't too bad, I'm healing very well, got my last drain out yesterday.
I was worried that I would be ready for the cruise, but I'm sure I'll be fine by then!
Have fun on your trip and good luck with your surgery!!
Cindy

Hi All,
I read this thread yesterday evening and said, whoa, this sounds like me, kind of drifting of course...No real change in the scale #'s but don't like the direction I seem to be going in (too much carbs, sf chocolate, general snacking when I'm not hungry-just cuz it sounds good)... count me in, I'm jumping on the train today, put the fresh bread in the freezer, packed a good snack and lunch...punch my ticket, I'm on board...
Today's plan:
Coffee protein drink (my home version of a frappachino)
1 oz lf cheddar & 10 mini pretzels (1/2 a serving)
3 oz rare london broil
side caesar from Wendy's
10-15 red grapes
bacon wrapped scallops, avocado, & tomatoes over romaine w/lemon dressing
cherry vanilla protein shake
and the usual water and vitamin supplements

I don't like accountability!!! LOL i have been doing very bad with eating, or not eating. all i had yesterday:
venti iced ff sf vanilla latte
1/2 meximelt from TB
venti iced ff sf vanilla latte
and after my son's scrimmage last night, i realized i barely ate all day, so i came home and ate a salami sandwich.
that's all folks. i keep telling myself i have to eat more and stop the weight loss. i can't wait to see my pcp tomorrow and hope he can refer me to someone.

Topic: RE: Getting back to the BASICS....need help my friends!!
Pam,
OMG you wrote what I wanted to say....THANK YOU!!! I can not stop those carbs, that is what is killing me right now. I was going to go to 2 shakes a day and a meal for 1 week to see what I could do with the weight but I know I will drop weight but can I keep it off once I get back to eating normal. That is the thing, we can cut back but once we go back to the eating (normal) then we can gain it back. I guess we need to find that balance of eating right (enough) and the proper things, also the exercise is the key and I just don't know why I can not stick to a plan!!!
I have to go back to using the Fitday.com site because then that really shows you where everything is going and why you are not losing.
Well lets keep each other posted on this...
Debra P
