LOL - I miss everyone so much. We use to be pretty tight. I figure since I always remember to get on my myspace page.... that would be a good way to keep in touch and maybe chat.

I'm struggling like everyone else is. sugar and junk food. AUGH!!!!! Why is that darn stuff so brainwashing?! Addicting?!

Thanks for posting this Shelly......I feel ya.... It is so easy to fall into old habits. I too found myself grazing and gaining. I never reached my goal of a size 9/10. I am still wearing a 12, 14, or 16 depending on the brand name. I went to Jenny Craig for about a month to get me on track. I like the portion size and the food agrees with my pouch. Let's do it...Get back to basics.... I still drink a Dr. adkins protein drink everyday......I do not drink water.......I am lucky if I drink 8 oz. a Day. I am ready to get back on track of eating healthy...Protein and exercise.... We can do it we just have to start NOW and if we mess up keep starting over.... ((((Hugs))))) Joni

Sorry to hear you didn't get your fill yesterday. Hopefully they were able to get you in before your surgeon goes on vacation. Just try to keep a positive mind and know this is going to be a world of help for you. Shelley

Sounds like a great idea Dawn. I can't commit to the 5 day pouch test but I can say that I am back in control so far and have been taking it day by day. So far I am doing pretty good. I had joined weigh****chers a while back just so that I have to be accountable for myself and face someone to weigh in. Since last Thursday, I have lost 6.6 pounds. It was probably all water weight at this point. I was retaining so much water due to all the crap foods I was eating. I will be here to support you the whole way thorough. Shelley

Hi Shelley. I can't tell any difference since my surgery. My appointment got postponed. I have to call the office today to reschedule. I hate that so much. I started crying this morning as I was really looking forward to it. My surgeon is going on vacation next week, so I may have to wait another two weeks. Yikes. I'll keep you posted. I am happy to hear that you got an appointment to see a surgeon and check into your options. Keep me posted too. Hugs, Lucy

Topic: 5 Day Pouch Test
i am going to do the 5DPT beginning Monday, my DH is going on a week-long business trip for work, leaving Sunday, so i think that will be the most opportune time to take advantage. i wont have to worry about cooking for him, i will have ready-to-eat things for the kids, my girls are 17 and 15, my son is 8, so they will pretty much be able to fend for themselves. i am doing this more out of control than hopeful weight loss, i need to regain control and take advantage of the wonderful tool ive been given. i've neglected it for too long and its cost me 30 pounds! here is the link and info about the 5 Day Pouch Test if anyone is interested www.5daypouchtest.com always in my thoughts and prayers .. -hugs- dawn RNY 02/16/05 pre-op 291#/lowest 168#/current 198#/goal 170#
