I wish I could say something happy. I've gotten down to 210lbs to 214lbs (depending on the time of the month). My doctor suggested that my goal would be 155, so I still have a way to go. My surgery weight was 285lbs. I struggle drinking my water, I can make it to 32oz. during the day, and 24oz of decaff hot peach tea seems to settle me. I'm just not thirsty. When I make it to 60oz of water (& the tea too) I get charlie horses at night when I sleep. I don't get to walk as often as I used to. However now that summer is gone I'm trying to get into my dance mat routine again. I am getting compliments from the weightloss, especially from my ex-husband. Though I know not to get back together with him (anyways, I'm married to someone else.) This last month has been the toughest, though I've not stuffing myself with food. A family friend that was like a mother to me passed away at the end of September from lung cancer. She called me 3 weeks prior to her death to urge me to come and see her. I didn't get a chance to travel the hour trip to her house, so I didn't get to see her alive to say goodbye. Her memorial is next weekend then her ashes will be taken to South America to be buried with her father. Claudia

Hey Lisa! Glad to hear from you! Yes, this ulcer thing is pretty bad! I had the opposite problem , I couldn't eat anything except liquidy stuff! Now that I am on the meds and feel better, I want to eat everything I can see!! And only 4 lbs from Onederland too AAARRGGHHHHH!!!!! I did my appeal, so I hope to hear in a few weeks whether they will approve or not! Lots of love, Wendy

Hi Lisa~ Boy, we've missed seeing you!! Thanks for the support. It was a wonderful experience and I would definitely do it again. How are you doing? Anything new with you? I am getting ready to do a couple of 5K's this weekend. The 3 miles for those will hopefully be a piece of cake in comparison! Have a wonderful day... Hugs, Kerri

(((HUG)))) WENDY! wow you got alot going on. SORRY im not around much but im not in a good place either. I can eat more, I dont loose and makeing the dumb choices and feeling i am failing miserably now. As you know i was diagnosed with an ULCER and the thing for me was food always did make it feel better. TREATMENT for me on the ulcer was just two months on NEXIUM. I think im better now but i dont really know being i didnt know i had one until i was throwing up coffee grinds (sorry to be gross). SOMETIMES i blame the ulcer for my bad eating for months i had to eat to feel better now it became a bad habit. I hope your insurance company approves you on what you need done. I look horrible with my sagging apron but to chicken to act on it I guess. TAKEING the time to recover and off from work is just to difficult right now for me. anyway please keep us posted and i hope your scope goes well and you dont have ucler problems.

Hi Kerri! Maintaining, well it's not easy. I have a lot of head hunger issues. I want to eat and eat everything. My pouch has been quite flexible in this regard. I'm trying to get it down again after a few days of not the best eating! When I do this, my bowels are very upset and I have a hard time going. This is something I have to get under control! I'm going to weigh****chers on Saturday but not weighing in this week. I plan on weighing in next Saturday. Got to do damage control for a few days of eating! I get too discouraged when I weigh in and have a gain. I'm glad they have the no weigh in pass that you can use for up to 4 weeks. I'm not going to wait that long. I'd be way out of control then. So even though I'm into maintenance, I'm still needing to lose! This will pass as I am so close to my plastic surgery day - only 48 days away Of course, the insurance company is asking for additional documentation to support the medical necessity for my panniculectomy portion of my plastic surgeries. Today I was so cold and we had SNOW in the Chicagoland area. I wore a coat my mom gave me with gloves and all. I should have had a scarf on as well - way too cold for me! I didn't want to wear my new faur Lynx fur coat yet Hope your energy level is back up to par! I'm doing my local Walk From Obesity next September. Maybe we can do our own walk with a group of Junebugs - our 2nd year anniversary present to ourselves - we get together for a walk and party time! Take care, Lucy

Kerri, Mostly I walk, but I do run for short bouts. I was overweight for too many years and it did some permanent damage to my knees so if I run too much I really pay for it in my knees. It is really frustrating sometimes because I want to up the pace but I have to be happy where I am at. I walk about a 15 minute mile. The normal route that I do is 4.2 miles and it takes me an hour or an hour and 5 minutes normally. Ironically I can run longer on the treadmill then I can when I run on the road. I think the pavement is harder then the treadmill deck. Thanks for the encouragement. I think if we can both make this a lifelong habit we will be much further ahead. Hugs, Lynn
