I had an ulcer and h-pylori. It is no joke, I have really had a rough time. They can diagnose it with a blood test. Good luck! Wendy

Jennifer I have had a burning pain in my pouch since may. I have had an endoscopy, cat scan and gall bladder ultra sound. everything was clear and all they are willing to day is that i have acute gastritis. I have to just keep taking prilosec and up the dosage until it stops. I also take tums smoothies for in between times. i hope that this passes quickly for ya. Monica

My whole family has recently had the flu... And my stomach has been killing me.. but i have noticed it hurts in a different way than before. Maybe it is am old fashioned stomach ache you are having but because of the new structure of our pouch it feels higher than normal? That is what i kind of decided about my stomach aces with the flew. That it normally hurt lower because the stomach was larger. But yes i didn't think we could get heart burn anymore either.. not enough acid at the top portion of the stomach. I thought the same thing.

It has been so long since I've posted, but I think I'm having prob. The last couple of days I have been having mild stomach pains similiar to heartburn but not as bad. I associated it w/things I thought I shouldn't be eating. But now I'm wondering if it isn't something else. My understanding was you couldn't get heartburn anymore but if I take a couple of Rolaids I'm fine again. Has anybody else had similiar problems?

I wish more people would consider foster care as well. It can be very trying and tough on the heart when they go home. But I know we have made a difference in the lives of the children we have cared for. And in the end we adopted 5 beautiful children from the program. Not only is adopting from foster care cheaper, but you get to have children that would have a hard time being placed other wise. I know the older kids are harder to place with people. But they need love and care as much as the littel ones. I am not so worried about the babies for adoption... i know there are lists and lists of people waiting to adopt a baby. I am more concerned about the ones already in the system that are just waiting for someone to depend on.

Paula!!!!!! Good to hear from you girl! Congratulatiions on the adoption! Our adoptions were very exciting for us and they have worked out very well! I wish more people would consider foster care as an adoption alternative! Wendy

Thanks Paula~ this was an amazing accomplishment for me. Now that we're starting to try to have kids, doing any more half marathons will have to wait. Hopefully we'll have as much with our expansion of our family as you have! Hugs, Kerri

Hi Paula~ Boy, have I missed seeing you around here!!! I'm thrilled to hear that you were able to finalize your adoption of your kids. That's awesome! Also, I'm so happy to hear that you are moving. I know that you've been thinking about it for a long time. Have you been cycling recently? Did you ever get to walk a 5K? How's youWLS journey going? Congrats on all of your changes...I know that you must be at peace about it all. Hugs, Kerri
